Definitely the best breakfast we had while in Ireland, we traveled all over. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make sure we had what we needed, even taking care of our laundry. Our stay was comfortable, homey, and pampered, and I would definitely stay here again!!! We were on our honeymoon, but I think this would be a great place for families to stay, too.

I asked if we could have a credit and rebook for May; they never replied to my 2 emails OR my online request thru their website. So much for customer service. Had to eat the entire cost - 2 nites and 2 rooms. Beyond disappointed that they wouldn't even work with me.

In the neighborhood you will find plenty of pubs and souvenir shops, and the owners of the Bank House will tell you which are the best (and they really are). Bank House has beautifully furniture and decorated sitting and dining rooms. The bedrooms are very nice as well, and my bed was so incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was yummy, hearty Irish breakfast. But the best thing to mention was that, when we arrived there after hiking the whole day through the wettest day in years, the owners welcomed us and were so very helpful, taking care of drying our soaking wet hiking gear so we could walk on the Kerry Way the very next day as if we had never gotten wet. This was more than 100% Irish hospitality, and I can really recommend this place for a wonderful stay in the tourist town of Sneem.

I was welcomed with a lovely chat over tea and a scone by the innkeeper Rosaleen O'Leary! I really appreciated her taking time to get to know me and share her thoughts on Irish history and culture. My room was good sized, appealing and a great value. Showers were hot with good water pressure. The gardens on the property were just gorgeous - imagine Secret Garden type plantings. My stay included a complete hot Irish breakfast with lots of coffee, eggs and Irish bacon - similar to a fried ham. Mmmm. I enjoyed a morning walk down the road to Ross Castle, which I highly recommend. Who knew the advancements in medieval architecture and defense? Ross Castle Lodge B&B is adjacent to the Killarney National Park, and one may walk through the park to get to the 'town' of Killarney where you'll find lots of restaurants, pubs & shops. They gave us great recommendations and also drove us to the bus station when we had to leave. Killarney was amazing! It was our favorite city in Ireland and we would love to go back. Plenty to do in the city with unique shops and restaurants. I would recommend renting bikes and riding into the national park.
