Unfortunately, there are many victims of bad cosmetology walking around. When I tell people my brows are tattooed they are always surprised and take a good hard look and the response is the same: "Wow, they look great!" She explained how to care for my lashes, what would be required in terms of a next visit and while the procedure took a little longer than expected it was an amazing result. I returned last night for a different procedure. This time it was for a lash lift and tint, shorter in time and different but Karina was still great. She made sure that the results would speak for themselves and that everything was done right. The owner was very sweet and remembered me and made a point to say hello. A super pretty, very girlie (yes I love it) place to get some pampering done. Hoping to be able to try some of their spa services soon. This place is coming along nicely, give it a shot!

My old salon, Cherry Lash Lounge, was the best. I would go in, sit in my comfy chair and fall asleep. The process was easy and painless. Scarletts has a lot going for it. The salon is nice and clean, but I miss those comfy recliners from Cherry. My back was killing me laying on that flat table and it was cold. 30 minutes in, I was done. The glue they use here is super strong. My eyes were watering for a while from the sting. That has never happened to me before. The tape they use is also kind of tough to get off. Again, I never had this issue before. The lashes themselves looked good when Karina was done, but the irritation lasted for a few days where my eyes would just water. I want to give this place another shot because so far I've lost minimal lashes in 2 weeks. But I'm not sure I can overlook everything it took to get here. My advice, get comfy recliners and blankets for clients with 2 hour appointments. A different glue would have me giving this review way higher marks. The burning is no good. *****UPDATE****** I decided to give Scarlett's Lash Lounge another shot and I'm glad I did. Karina and I talked about the issues I had with my lashes and found a solution for the tape and the burning. The table is still, not my favorite, but Karina does a great job so I'm willing to just put a pillow under my back (I would still suggest investing in a recliner. It's the best) My lashes are great, comfortable and easy to maintain. I've been back twice since my initial visit and I'm a faithful customer at this point.

The first person to actually do my lashes was Nora, see I have a lot of lashes but they are what in the lash world are called giraffe lashes which are very thick lashes that no matter what kind of mascara you wear they will just stay down and will not have that beautiful pop-up look. My first visit with Nora many years ago she did a test lash on me first, to make sure I was not going to have allergies to any of the glue which I thought was pretty amazing of her. The way she did my lashes were so naturally beautiful I couldn't ask for anything better I was so pleased that at the time I was driving almost an hour to get my lashes done by her before she moved to Farmington. She is so personable and such a down-to-earth woman you cannot go wrong with Nora she is so professional at what she does and will not stop until you get the look that you went there for. She is also incredibly honest she will let you know what is best for you and what kind of lashes will work best for you she only uses the best lashes but you also let you know if a lash lift is better for you and if volume lashes are better for you, it all depends on the look you're going for . Myself personally I wanted a little more pop Than A Lash lift but not as dramatic as volume lashes although they do look beautiful when you're going to a special occasion but with me being a working mom of two I wanted the most natural look but uet still that thick beautiful pop,and Nora gave me that to me every single time and she still does until this day. When I moved to Long Island I wasn't able to come to Nora because obviously the distance so I did try a few other Lash artists and I have to say none of them made me as happy as Nora did. So believe me one of the first stops I made when I was settled back into Connecticut was Nora Lash she definitely has me as a lifetime customer another amazing thing about Nora is you aren't just a client to her she does things to work around your schedule and is there to talk to you she becomes a friend and I'm so happy to have Nora and continue to go to Nora.
