I've been doing virtual training with Meryl for almost two years. I was a bit skeptical about…read morevirtual training at first, but Meryl is able to keep the workouts varied and effective with minimal equipment. I travel frequently for work and she's able to be flexible with my schedule as well as adapt workouts that are feasible in a hotel room. Meryl was also able to adapt my workouts throughout my pregnancy, from incorporating more yoga /stretching to modifying exercises. I really appreciate that she could change up an entire workout on the fly depending on how I was feeling that day. It made it much easier for me to stay active during my pregnancy, even until late in the third trimester. If you're looking for someone who will be flexible with YOUR fitness goals (in my case, consistency and strength), Meryl is a great choice.

Meryl came highly recommended through a close friend at the perfect time for me and my husband…read more Several months into the pandemic lockdown, we realized that we'd fallen into a sedentary lifestyle that was doing our bodies and our sanity no favors. I joined Meryl's Zoom group workout class and it made me remember how WONDERFUL it feels to push my body and build strength. Meryl is an excellent coach; even in a group setting of varying levels Meryl knows exactly how to modify every move so that everyone is pushed appropriately. A few months ago my husband and I started personal training together as well with Meryl and it's really taken our training to the next level. Not only has it boosted our physical fitness but I can tell a difference into our confidence in and out of the gym as well. And my clothes are fitting better, which I am extremely happy about. I'm also a big fan of the types of workouts we do with Meryl in general. Each routine is intentional and focused. She's always happy to modify if something doesn't feel right, answer questions, and correct form. We look forward to our workouts every week!

So far, I like this gym! It's not a fancy or luxurious gym that I have been to in the past but I…read morefind it to be good, practical, functional..and just all around very utilitarian! The place is open from early morning til late and I felt it's not too busy. They don't have many of everything but the definitely have the things you need...and it's clean and not intimidating. The big plus for this is the price. It's extremely reasonable and..the membership together with weekly training session with a trainer comes to what I used to pay for (or even less than!) my previous gym membership at a nearby place. Not fancy..but it's almost always open when I need it to...and close enough to my house to feel motivated enough to go often for sure.

I've been going to CedarFIT off and on since 2012. I first starting going under a special plan and…read moreenjoyed my results. It is a pretty pricey membership to attend, but now that there are two locations, it does make it better value. If you miss a day or two, or even a week, it makes you regret spending a lot of money for a membership. That helps me be consistent, but it isn't always affordable or within my budget. I have recently re-joined after injuring myself likely due to heavy lifting worsened by my job of having to hike daily. I like that most of the trainers are well versed in how to modify the movements and keep it from hurting myself further. I wish that Cedar did more of the training herself because she is top notch. I appreciate trainers looking out for proper form and hope that going here will help me rebuild muscles and stabilizers for me to continue my journey.

First off just let me say my boyfriend is a competitive/ professional Crossfitter and as such he…read morehas always been very specific about form and techniques used in Crossfit. That being said, when I first began CedarFit he was concerned that I would be joining a "gym" that was about the burn without care for safety. Needless to say, his fears regarding CedarFit were misconstrued. The coaches at CedarFit take every care to ensure safety and form. This isn't to say that they go "easy" on you...these coaches will push you to your utmost potential as you evolve towards your fitness goals. Whether those goals are to lose weight, gain muscle, or just get healthy, they provide the tools and motivation to help you do your best. One thing I value more than anything about CedarFit is the community. It is one big happy family. One concern I had before starting was that it would be clicky or that people would be judgemental. Not here! I was warmly welcomed by all. Ever since joining the CedarFit family, i have made lasting friendships with other positive people.

He always brings fun and energy to all of his classes but at the same time he kicks your butt. The gym has a weight room, boxing room, group fitness room, and a sauna. They also have locker rooms. The prices are really fair too. A single membership is $65 a month but they offer rates of $55 a month for military, college students, etc. You can also drop in for $10 a class. I really was reluctant to post this review because class sizes now are small and they will probably get a lot more packed once word gets out but hey that's what Yelp is for right? Plus these guys deserve all the recognition for doing such a great job. I can't wait to try some of Carlos' classes. I highly recommend this place.

So this review is very biased since I have never tried crossfit anywhere else. But I LOVE IT! The owner and the coaches are super nice and super encouraging. The gym itself is a huge open space with equipment that you can use during open gym sessions. On top of that they have classes and the coaches are very good at correcting postures to make sure you aren't injured while doing strength training. This is not a place where you will run into young meatheads and all they want to do is workout and checkout girls like the ordinary gyms. This is a place where they encourage everyone to come and workout and participate in crossfit. The coaches are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere in the whole crossfit gym is very welcoming. After a month of working out here, I can say I truly enjoy coming here.

I've been a member at Designer Bodies for over a year and I'm excited to see their membership build…read morea little. After moving here, my husband and I were set on finding a good gym for our lifting and after trying half a dozen we tried out Designer Bodies and knew it was perfect for what we needed. It's not as large as some gyms around here but the equipment is some of the best I've seen and the owners are always around. There are a few things that could improve, but hopefully as the membership grows some of those things will happen naturally. I would love if they were able to move all the cardio and yoga mat stuff into a separate back room, it would give more privacy to them and more space for lifting equipment (another squat rack!). Another thing would be if the music changed. Currently, it's a little on the mellow side and I prefer a gym with upbeat music playing over the grunts of everyone working out. I also would love if they had longer hours as my job prevents me from getting in before they close on some nights. But again, these are all small things that are not going to prevent you from having a killer workout. I love the vibe here. Some people, like myself, like to get in and get out, and you can do that here. You can also hang out, like others do, and everyone seems to be pretty friendly so that's cool too.
