I signed up for classes and a retreat, fell on a financial setback, asked for a refund, they refused to let me leave and told me I needed to keep attending and they would only give a partial refund because in order to receive it I had to sign up for a 20 class pass. When I received my partial refund, Deahan pulled me into the office and told me now that I had received my refund I could afford to go to the very retreat I asked to be refunded on. I reiterated I was unable to afford the retreat, which is why I asked for the refund. Deahan tells me to sell ALL my stuff to attend the retreat. I told him no, I do not have anything to sell, he continuously repeated for 20 minutes that I needed to start selling my things to afford to go to Sedona. What a level of greed beyond comprehension! High pressure sales isn't the word. They verbally, mentally, and emotionally assault you if you do not allow them to control your mind and finances. This place is very good at using mind control methods t their advantage! This place is the epitome of greed and shines dark energy. If you are not careful, they will deceive you too!

It's a really fantastic show and it delineates the various age groups and activities that practice disciplines during the rest of the year. And it's a blast to take a toddler: dancing monkeys, a dashing dragon, bounding lions with enormous eyelashes and snapping jaws, that's entertainment, folks. I also managed to sneak in the front door the day prior, there's a lot going on in there. Gift shop, a hall with mirrors, from an architectural and interior design perspective it felt very eastern: covered in bright hues, every inch of the space honored. McDuffie is a unique park, the city's only hidden park!…read more Pros: It is close to UNM and other schools like Jefferson Middle- distances from Central campus: 3 min drive, 8 min bike ride, 30 min walk. -Although it's hidden, there are 7 entrances, making it easy to access. -It is a good size: 13,000 sq ft. -It's secluded: good for intimacy & peace; in a quiet neighborhood w/ kind residents. -It has several strategically placed benches -It supports wildlife: there are several tree species which provide shade, ~41 different bird species (including roadrunners!) -There are weekly happenings! (such as tai chi classes) -Dog park: It's practically fenced in, there are water bowls placed by a resident -A place to play soccer, read a book, walk your dog, have a picnic, study or meditate, or simply RELAX! -It has a HUGE Free Little Library- free books! or a place to donate old books. Cons: There is no parking lot available, only street side parking. -The neighborhood it's in is close to known crime district. -It is not easily discoverable. (thank goodness for these reviews!) -It has a lack of amenities: no playground, no restrooms, no picnic tables. -There are lots of mosquitos (especially in summer) -Many owners let their dogs off the leash. -The park prohibits glass containers/alcohol -Hard balls (baseballs, etc) are prohibited in the park.
