4.9.26: Safeway has been one of my more preferred grocery stores for +30 years and I've always enjoyed visiting different stores in different locations. I came to this Safeway just to pick-up sour cream that I had forgotten the other day while I was out. Also, noticed a new soda flavor that caught my eye. I rarely drink soda, but definitely wanted to try it--Dr. Pepper Stawberries and Cream. The store was clean, didn't seem to cluttered, and produce looked fresh. I also liked how the refrigerated section is sleek and that it's neatly stocked behind closed doors to help keep it cold versus some outdated stores that just have the open shelves. My quick video just gives a glimpse of what I mean. It definitely pays off to be a Safeway club member as the sour cream I needed, was on sale, woo-hoo. We have been going here for 7 years, twice a week to the deli for turkey & ham. It's been years of feeling like we are an intrusion for even asking for lunchmeat. I feel like I am asking for the world because I like it sliced thin...we pay $12 a pound! Last week we finally just went to Fred Meyer instead and I couldn't believe the difference in customer service, they were nice and actually happy to do it! So, this afternoon (2:30pm) we went back to Albertsons to get lunch meat for the rest of the week and the lady that helped us was horrible. She shaved the ham even though we said we didn't want it that way and then when I said we didn't want it shaved...just really thin, she sliced it again but just really thick. I don't understand what is so offensive about asking for ham cut a certain way?? I'm over it. If we can help it, we won't be going back. read more

I worked at a grocery store and they all suck (besides Trader Joes) but this one is easily better then most. People complaining are expecting impossible results. If you buy food from a service deli you deserve poor food. Its only their for people that dont know how to cook. Make your own food or go to a restaurant for god sake. read more

Went into there pharmacy today to do a walk in COVID-19 booster shot,there was two people waiting for theirs, walked up to the counter to get the paperwork, the pharmacist told me they were just to busy today to do it!! So I guess i will take my chances since there to busy and not get one! read more

Their produce and selection is mediocre. They peel off layers of vegetables to keep the shelf life longer and make them look fresh. The product variety isn't that great and their prices are very high compared to other stores. The staff is kind and helpful. They always have a smile and ask if we need assistance. read more

Albertsons is just a few blocks from where I've lived for the past 4 years. When I first moved here Albertsons got 100% of my grocery business, are they cheaper than others, not by a long shot but they were close! Slowly the service took a turn for the worse and my percentage of business dropped. Lately, I've just stopped in to pick up items from the deli for dinner after work. The last 5 times I've been in for chicken they haven't had the fried chicken breast I wanted, I go in right after work people are looking for dinner, why wouldn't they have chicken? They have offered to cook some if I wanted to wait 15-20 minutes, no I don't want to wait, I want dinner. They struck out tonight, I'm done buying anything there. read more

Chicken from the deli was inedible. Burnt to a crisp. Breast meat was dry to the point I was unable to bite through it. The wings had the meat completely burnt off. I asked the person after filling our order if we could get some less burnt chicken. She said that was the best she had. There was better stuff right next to what she gave me that was much better. I was given the stuff that had been sitting there that they were trying to get rid of. Not wanting to argue, I took it and went home only to find out that the macaroni salad was also terrible. Too much dressing and under cooked noodles. I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

Dirty, way overpriced, too few checkers - long lines, unhappy employees. I don't remember it being this bad last time I was here.

I love the self-checkout and the clean store. But prices are high for most things. Sometimes they do have some very good sale prices.

I've gone to both Valley Albertson's and used to go to one in Richland, WA (on Leslie & Gage). I've ALWAYS been super impressed with the staff. They've opened the meat counter early for me, helped me with my groceries, been kind when I had to run home because I forgot something, gone back for something I missed. I put them through the ringers, and boy do they deliver. They even have stickers for my kids. I do miss the cards because I hate remembering coupons, but that's not the store's fault. It's corporate. To me it's worth not going somewhere cheaper for my non-bulk shopping. read more

Great store but the guy who runs the meat department is really rude and inconsiderate!!

While the store is always pristinely stocked and clean, the employees seem to be kind of rude. I only stop here if I forgot an item elsewhere because they are so close. Also what's the deal with getting rid of self checkout? That was the only reason I would tolerate stopping by. read more
