Albertsons has a beautiful store, and the employees are absolutely wonderful. Every interaction I've had has been positive--friendly, helpful, and professional. The staff clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows throughout the store. Unfortunately, despite all of the positives, I will not be returning. My concern is that the store appears to allow non-service animals inside, and even more troubling, in shopping carts. Shopping carts are intended for groceries, not pets, and they are not sanitized after every use. The thought of placing food where a dog was just sitting is both unsanitary and unacceptable. I understand that many people love their pets, and this review is not a criticism of responsible pet owners or legitimate service animals. However, grocery stores should maintain clear standards for health, safety, and sanitation. Until this issue is addressed, I will be taking my business elsewhere. This is particularly disappointing because the store itself--and the people who work there--deserve high marks. Unfortunately, the pet policy overshadows an otherwise excellent shopping experience. read more

I've placed several pickup orders from this Albertsons location since moving here a few months ago, and while pickup is super convenient for my schedule, I've had a major issue with how dairy, especially milk, is handled. In the past week alone, I've received two different gallons of milk that went sour within three days of pickup. Both had expiration dates more than a week out, so they should have been perfectly fine. The first time, I didn't notice until it was too late and ended up with mild food poisoning. The second time, I caught it somewhat early and had to force myself to vomit to avoid an upset stomach again! Not a great experience either way. This tells me something is off, whether it's how long the milk sits out during order prep or an issue with refrigeration. Either way, it's enough for me to stop trusting this location for dairy, especially for pickup orders. I rely on this service because I work long hours and juggle a lot, but I can't afford to keep risking my health over spoiled milk. I bought FreshPet dog food 3 days ago at this albertson's. For the next 3 days my dog was very sick. I emailed the food company and they spoke with this specific location about food refrigeration. They sent me a coupon to get a new bag since the one Albertson's sold was poison to my dog, Albertson's won't accept any coupon for it. Didn't say sorry, didn't offer a refund. Nothing. I come here twice a week and spend at least $5K a year at your store for my family, not anymore I won't be.. that's the last time I step into this store. They clearly don't care about keeping our pets healthy. read more

This is your ordinary grocery store but it does have a descent selection of organic produce. There is a large separate alcohol section, which I don't shop in often. The staff are very friendly. I mostly use self checkout. There is always staff nearby at the self checkout in case you need assistance. read more

Went through self checkout with my daughter, come here often. Normally bring my own bags, this time I didn't, bought two plastic bags and the lady from self checkout told me I needed to pay for them. I told her I thought and I did and showed her the receipt- right there 2@ reusable bag for .20. I'm not stealing your crappy plastic bags. What's crazy is Ralph's has sooo much better customer service, you laugh with the employees in the check out line. Get help in the aisles without getting power tripped. Their employees act like mall cops on segways. Either deal with Ralph's smaller store and happy employees or shop at Albertsons with a great selection and employees that wish they had police batons or whistles. Pretty solid Albertsons! Stopped in to grab some wine and cookies to take to a friends house. I loved how open it was when you walked in. Looks like it was a newer store or recently remodeled. Everything was clean and spacious. Great bakery cookies, fresh as can be, right off the ladies hand cart about to be put on the shelf. Good deal on some Kendall Jackson wine, too! The food isn't fresh I refuse to buy cucumbers from here anymore as they are frozen and out on the shelf to thaw by the time you get home they are mush. The fruits such as berries look good but when you get home to wash them the raspberries are ready for the trash as they are so soft you can't eat them, The strawberries have soft spots and are still green and not sweet at all. I got tortillas and they were moldy already same as cheese. I get the already cut rotisserie chicken and it is bad the next day.. it stinks up my entire house. I frequent this store. My favorite cashier is Josette, who is always so kind and means biz! I love their big selection of items, their cleanliness, as well as the majority of their employees. This is one of the only quality stores in the area, along with Trader Joe's, as Ralphs is literal garbage (see Ralphs review), and don't even get me started on Walmart. This review is on the fresh sushi in the deli. I went in around 6 PM to grab some dinner and other grocery items. The sushi looked amazing! So I bought it and when I got home, I found out there was no soy sauce and no chopsticks to go along with the sushi. Seriously?! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I needed to recycle bottles to raise a donation for charity, and was looking for a place that would take them. I asked prior to bringing my bottles in, and they told me they would help me. But when I did bring the bottles, I was instead put off to the side for AN ENTIRE HOUR before I was "helped out." They acted like I was some inferior class. I received eye rolls, passive-aggressive comments, if I can even call it that. The employees talked to me while they were walking by and didn't even slow down to wait for my response. I don't know WHERE they were trying to go, but they made it clear that whoever they were wanting to get to is much more important than me. Talk about rude. What awe full customer service in deli by Gene. I don't normally waste time for saving $2 but sign is deceptive, so went to look. Asked Gene about it and was told "why don't you fucking read". I asked for his manager, which Gene said was Lance, but he was nowhere to be found. OVERALL GREAT - Very large and well stocked. The place is very well maintained and it shows. All of the employees I have interacted with were nothing but professional, helpful and friendly. They also have a large walk-in beer room which is pretty rare for a neighborhood grocery store. Got some great deals with end of season sales, looking forward to these moving forward. On 11/11 my actual bday I call this Albertsons, spoke to a guy in the bakery dept, asked him if I can order a "Disney's Cars cake for Sunday Nov 15 and he stated yes that's fine, I told him I wanted it on a round cake, white cake, custard with strawberries and he said ok np what time do you want to pick it up? I stated 1pm..I had one of my son pick it up...he brought it to Olive Garden where my family was going to celebraste my bday..I go to look at the cake and it was the most boring cake I've ever had!! There seems to be a lot of turnover in the Savon Pharmacy here over the last few years and the customer service has really gone down. It's unfortunate. There are a couple friendly and helpful people, but they are outweighed by others who are indifferent and just plain to lazy to help. Overall I love the store and staff who work there. Always very pleasant and helpful and well stocked with great products. However for the life of me, I don't understand how they can justify selling 12ft X 4 ft swimming pools when we're in this water crisis. I am forbidden to water my grass but allowed to purchase an above ground pool which will require more water to fill than a year's worth of water to maintain my yard, which is dead. Doesn't sit good. Getting really tired of having to double check the price at the checkout against the pictures I am having to take to prove that they over charged. And somehow it's my fault because I didn't down load it to my phone before I walked in the store and am told by the store manager that the WiFi is spotty. Meanwhile, I am clearly showing him on my Albertsons app that I just didn't add in the couple from today. The rest are greyed out cuz they were already added. Most of the checkers are super. This is the only Albertsons in ventura county still open, that I know of. I always thought this was a high priced store. Still think that. I came here a few days ago and the lowest priced gallon of orange juice was $6.99!! What?! Campbells soup was $1.99 a can (the small can) At least 50% more than other stores. This is a large store and it is clean and neat. The employees are great. Unless it's the only option or I'm shopping for a sale item I will not shop here regularly. read more

I'm from the East Coast, so shopping at Albertson's is kind of like a piece of home away from home. When I moved to California, I first lived in West Covina. The Albertsons there was the best I had ever been to. Everyone was friendly, shopping was comfortable, and no one made you feel out of place. For someone with extreme social anxiety, this was a small slice of heaven. Now I have moved to Ventura county where The Albertson's that's closest to me is the one in Thousand Oaks. Valentine's Day. A special day for this romantic devil. To quote the Beatles: "Ah, look at all the lonely people". But on this particular day it's not a hotel nor a concert nor a dinner/movie date. I'm cooking at home. I'm hell in the kitchen. And no matter how hard I try and screw it up, it always turns out tops. It's a talent born of centuries of bachelorhood. I don't measure, I eyeball it. I change ingredients in recipes, on the rare times I use recipes. But lobster bisque is new for me, so this time I did. Sort of. My concubine for the evening, a seafood freak, has been deserving some special attention. I found everything at my nearby Albertson's. This store is fairly new, and has already undergone one major makeover. Maybe they're trying to keep up with Bristol Farms and Whole Foods. Albertson's prices are certainly better, the selection and quality a very close second. Produce dept. has habanero peppers! And weird stuff like celery root and broccolini. Tonight asparagus sauteed with garlic and mushrooms will be a nice accompaniment. Baby green salad and sprouts, I love eating babies. Liquor department rocks! Chopin Vodka, Milagro Tequila, Silver Oak Cabernet (Alexander Valley). Big selection. Alas, no Carlsberg Elephant malt. But I already had a bottle of Dom Perignon waiting at home. Meat dept. had all I needed - lobster tails and king crab legs. Scallops looked good too, but not tonight. Must save room for dessert. What else? Devil's Food cake! read more

Recently "remodeled" this store now has shelves that are so tall, it is a challenge to get anything off the high ones. And forget about quality of merchandise: I just got a bag of cut apples that expired before their expiration date, and that wasn't the first time. Their store hours are supposed to be till Midnight, but went in last night at 10:00pm and there were long lines to check out, and the Service Desk was closed. I had been in there late night before the remodel was done, and things were difficult, but cut them some slack. Now I see, it's just not a good store to shop in. read more
