This Albertsons became my main grocery store after I moved to West Eugene. I've been going here weekly for the past four months and I've always had good experiences. The employees are always very nice and helpful. The cashiers are quick but friendly, making sure to ask you about your day and chat while they are scanning if you're up for it. The other employees help you find what you're looking for without any issues. This location usually has pretty good selection on the clearance shelf and the bakery clearance shelf, no matter the time of day or day of the week. I've gotten some good deals there. The weekly ad usually has at least one good sale, and there are usually some red clearance or manager's special stickers on things throughout the store. The produce is fresh and they have a good selection of ripeness so you can get exactly what you need without having to worry about it going bad before you use it. The parking lot is big and has ample parking. Even during the busiest times, I'm able to find a spot pretty close. It's easy to get into and out of from both Royal and Danebo. The store is clean and well-organized. I'm not sure I understand why all of the food aisles aren't together, but that seems to be a thing that all Safeway and Albertsons stores do so maybe it's a thing corporate decides. While there are some things I'll only get at Winco, this Albertsons is my regular grocery store. As long as they continue to have reasonable prices and friendly, helpful employees, I'll keep shopping here. read more

While checking out 7/31/26, I was unable to put in my phone number because of three requests for my input--a customer service survey, and two other fundraising appeals. When the screen finally cleared, the cashier had already gone too far and there was no prompt for my phone number, so the cashier put it in so I could get my 10% off purchase of $20 or more. In the process, instead of charging me the 4 for $20 price for Curlee's pulled pork, he charged me the regular price. Each box had a $1 coupon, so the final price should have been 16.00 less 10%, or 14.40. Since there is no way to know what you pay until you pay, and get the receipt, I discovered I was charged 18.83. I went to customer service and asked, "Why was I charged $18.83? I bought four boxes, and had $4 worth of coupons, so that makes $16..." But before I could finish, the supervisor, "J----" , snapped back, "I have no idea why you were charged $18.33. Then she started shouting: "I can give you back your money but I don't like your attitude!" I was shocked at how triggered she got , and thought she might have thought I was trying to pull a fast one, so I apologized and offered, " I can go back and get the coupons from the cashier if you need to see them. " "There's no need for that attitude! I bet you don't have very many friends!" she fired back, handing me $2 without even looking at the receipt. I was so taken aback that I completely forgot about the 10% and only could think that she hadn't given me the 33 cents. When I pointed that out, she exploded even more at me. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I expect J----- had a bad day, but that's no reason to take it out on customers! From now on, I will be avoiding the Albertson's on Royal, and giving my business to West 18th where I have always been treated with kindness and respect. read more

I know that the pharmacy is under staffed but it seems very intentional that all staff work as slowly as possible even when the line is short. I was third in line today and it took about thirty minutes. This is annoying . My recomendation is work with purpose and realize people have other things to do besides pick up an rx. Apparently if you shop in the evening you must now ring up your own groceries as they have no check out lanes open. I already have a job where I work harder than the 3 ladies standing there doing nothing but chatting while I had to ring up my own items. If there is any chance I will have to ring up my own groceries I don't go. read more

Why 3 stars you ask? Well I'd love to give this location 4 stars because the store is always clean, well stocked, & every staff member I've ever spoken to or received help from have been very pleasant & shown great customer service skills. The store also has a great selection of all the standard options of meat & seafood. When I've asked for certain items to be wrapped/packaged a specific way that required a few more minutes of their time, they have always fulfilled my request without any hesitation or look of annoyance. Why then only 3 stars, well it's because of the Produce Department. I bought blueberries 2 days ago & went to eat them tonight only to find they are insanely sour. Time and time again I've bought berries and/or avocados only to find they are anything but satisfying. This isn't a 2 or 3 time occurrence either. It's been so consistent that I rarely shop here anymore because I purchase & eat a fair amount of produce. So I go to the next closest store for all items except for steak & seafood. Those items I will go to Albertsons for because they sell a good cut of meat :-) read more

Whoever manages this store really knows the business. Store is clean, well stocked, and merchandised. Use the Albertsons App and you'll save a lot of money. Now the Bad.. The self checkout is absolutely awful. NEVER AGAIN. If I come to the registers with a full basket of groceries, and the only checkstand open is self check, I'll be handing off my groceries to the poor person dealing with that constant mess and never returning. read more

As stated by Jessica M., this is a much nicer location than others. Handy to the familys in the Royal/Danebo area. Has a ghetto gas station that moved in (no longer able to use albertsons rewards to get .05-.15 off per gallon of gas) that has 1/2 the selection that the previous store did. The store itself isn't bad at all, nice and clean, well lit and very open. I have found where Albertsons is slightly more expensive than Winco, it's cheaper than MOC, and usually has better produce than Safeway. So I prefer this place Vs others. They have a nice selection of local brews. Lots of 22oz's also! Staff is cool, they're quick to help and they're pretty good at keeping the self check out moving along. Haven't had much of a wait there like other places So if im in the area, I'll take advantage of the convenience. read more

They don't check or clean the rentable carpet cleaners. Rented a rug cleaner that had been sitting in store filled with sewage water! I drove one block and could smell it turned around brought it back. It already leaked in the back of my car. Only help the store would give is to say somebody else messed up. It has been sitting leaking contaminated water in the front of the store for how long? How many shoes have tracked it around the store? Their mistake will cost me hundreds in lost items and cleaning fees. read more

The featured " Aps " promotion is clearly deceiving and poorly used. The price shown for an item is 3 to 4 times higher at the register. We do not have the ability to download the Aps nor do we want to. The price shown is too good to be true. If you have the "Ap." If you do not know or want the aps be prepared to see a much higher price at the register. Why do people who use Aps get such a good deal? Are they more deserving? Are they more intelligent? This is a poor marketing ploy. And unfair. read more

I went in today and this place is NO LONGER COVID SAFE!!!!!!! I saw no cleaning of carts at all or any sign that said that the carts were sanitized. The produce selection was really hit and miss some stuff was fine and some stuff is either out of stock or disgusting and should not have been out for sale, some things were missing completely. I couldn't get a simple selection of fruit for my toddler. Couldn't get a common item in the baby aisle either. Then I go to check out and it's just a madhouse in there, everyone has to squeeze in to the self check out through space about as wide as a cart. Once you get in the self check out there ITS PACKED, about almost 15 people in there mostly well within 6 feet of each other more like 2 to 3 feet of each other. I wave down the self checkout attendant and she laughed off all of my concerns I asked for the manager and she laughed again she didn't care about anything. This place no longer cares about Covid !!!!!!!! I will specifically avoid the store and switch all of my prescriptions from what was the best pharmacy in town, to any place but this dump. if you're not gonna care about Covid right now shame on you, and shame on everyone in the store, and this is not the first time I've seen this. I have blatantly seen their employees ignore simple Covid procedures in the store since February. THIS STORE MANAGER HAS GOT TO GO!!!! I don't care to die from the virus or be sick from it, neither should any of the people around me who are immune compromised suffer if I get it, SHAME on you Albertson's disgusting store today. Royal Ave. Albertsons employees are rude, distant and prejudice to the senior and disabled in this neighborhood!!! When you shop the sales because that is what you can afford they don't honor the sales if you are senior or disabled. They are constantly rude and distant to the disabled in our area. Watch the dates on cold cuts bought hot dogs tgat were a month past date. Then went back to exchange them and EVERYTHING was expired.

I have started shopping at Albertson's on Royal, and usually have a satisfied visit. But tonight, I brought back a jar of pesto sauce that had a 2021 expiration date. I opened it a couple of weeks ago and took out 2 tablespoons. I went back yesterday to use it again, and mold had grown through the sauce. So I took it back tonight to customer service. I explained the situation and pointed to the expiration date. She checked it and said yes, it has a 2021 expiration date. She asked me to wait while she went to speak to her manager. She came back and said they could not take it back or credit me the money because I had opened it and used some of it. I said that should not make a difference due to the date on it. She said no way. I could tell that no matter what I said or proved, Albertson's management was not going to honor my purchase. I would like to say that I won't be shopping there again, but I can't. Today's problem happens on a daily basis. There is no customer appreciation. I always talk to the clerks, smile and leave saying "Stay healthy and safe". They could care less. Little by little, they are getting as bad as WalMart. These corporations know that basically we cannot shop at Fred Meyer because of the prices. I love Fred Meyer, but food stamps only go so far. I expected to hear a "sorry, but that's store policy", but no way. She showed a complete distain for me and wanted me to go away. These clerks don't realize that if we stop shopping there, they will lose their jobs. Albertson's won't care about them. Also, when was the last time you could understand their receipts? They make it difficult so you give up and don't bring up extra charges they put on. I'm still wondering about the meat I buy there. I bought a package of breasts supposedly cleaned. By the time I removed all the fat, and dark grey meat, out of the 7 breasts I originally started with, I was left with maybe 3.5. Plus, the chicken does not taste like chicken. I like this store over the Safeway and now they take Safeway rewards. Friendly people and it's never crowded. Items are always in stock and the checkout lines are always available. The vegetables and produce are always fresh and appetizing. I go here all the time. read more

I like the fact that they are close by and open late but the fruit here is HORRIBLE. I usually pick up strawberries, raspberries, apples, and oranges and found that at Albertsons they aren't fresh. If I need any junk food or emergency ice cream this is where I turn to. But if I'm looking for some produce I'll go to Trader Joe's and MOC. read more

When there is a 15 items or less Express Lane and a lady with a full cart takes it up and I only have 5 items, well I see no advantage to using this market that is at best a high priced convenience market. I prefer to shop at Walmart or Winco ONLY. read more

They took out the one thing that made this store bearable, the self checkout. The only reason I ever come here is because it is within walking distance.
