Always have to check expiration dates on every item from the Parkcenter location in Boise. I've accidentally purchased expired food more than 10 times at this location, and most of it was my fault for rushing on my way home from work to get the last ingredient for dinner but also could be fixed by the store. I often see so many workers stocking aisles so I'm not sure if they just don't check expiration dates or what, but it's a very frustrating experience. I do tell staff at the register what's expired when I see it, but I definitely don't take the 12 old dressings to the front when I stop in for one quick item. Our local store in Highland, CA stopped carrying my wife's and I favorite Tillamook ice cream because it was seasonal. We contacted the corporate office with our concern. I was amazed that they were able to find our ice cream and provide several quarts and due to high demand, will start selling it in our store again. Outstanding customer service. Purchased a small strawberry cheesecake for New Years day 2025, had a beautiful steak dinner and went to cut into the cheesecake for dessert. What I see is this black rubbery film on the bottom crust. There was nothing I could do to make it edible. This was the store in Caldwell Idaho on Blaine. I had to take it back. The manager said "wow!, what is that? No apology, nothing, just took it back. I then purchase a single piece of carrot cake just for a new years treat. It was very dense, no sign carrot, just a massive overload of all spice and this sugary thick frosting, and hardly any cake. This should be against the law to sell garbage like this. This is the worst experience I've ever had and I love this company. I needed help returning something and was told to go to customer service where there were multiple employees who seemed like managers sitting there talking and eating behind the counter. A customer was Spanish speaking and a girl was helping him out translating because the rest of them obviously didn't speak Spanish. I watched them struggle a bit and then the older lady turned to her and said "why don't they just learn to speak English." She left her coworker in an awkward space by saying that because she just looked at her and moved on to the next customer. She's obviously highly unprofessional I've also seen her talking to the employees that same way and one girl walked away crying and I haven't seen her working at the store since. This was months ago but this is not my first bad interaction with her name is Tracie and she runs the desk at customer service so she must be a manager. She was extremely aggressive when I told her I want to return something she said well where is the receipt! She could've asked me nicely and more calm especially since I know the policy is if you don't have a receipt you'd get store credit instead of a refund. I've been coming to this Albertsons for over 5 years and I've never had a good interaction with Tracie so I try to avoid her. The way she talks to customers and her coworkers is unprofessional. The racist comment she made about the customer in front of me was just too much. She's giving the Albertsons family a bad name and when I told her about the wait time she said "oh I've got a lot going on I'm running here and there on my front end trying to take care of everything." Well I had just seen her eating and talking to her coworker while there was a big line waiting. I will never be coming here again and this store needs to learn to hire professional kind people who enjoy serving others not to treat customers as an inconvenience. If the store didn't have such good produce and products I would never go there because no one wants to be treated like this I'm spending my hard earned money on over priced groceries I should be treated with respect and if you're going to make comments about customers do it in the break room not right in front of them. Great pharmacy. My prescription was going to be $200. They ran my insurance which brought it down to $105. They thought they could find a better price using goodrx so they looked it up and found a coupon that made it $24. I think the guys name was Alex. Great pharmacy. read more

I can't remember exactly why I started this review but it got lost in my unfinished quest, and based on is saying "especially right now" I'm guessing it had something to do with some policy they had during COVID. Worst pharmacy in the history of the universe. Long lines. Incompetent, slow-moving staff with no sense of urgency whatsoever. Wait times measured in not hours, but in DAYS. Seriously. Ordered a cake from the bakery at this location and they did an outstanding job. The cake is adorable and perfect for the occasion we needed it for. They were given creative freedom after being told the theme and they knocked it out of the park. Extremely grateful and 10/10 would get a cake from here again. read more

Last year, during the pandemic, Albertsons escalated its prices to ensure a 2,500% increase in profit while Americans suffered. It did this through false advertising and pervasive, strategic and ongoing deceptive and unlawful practices, including higher priced system checkout prices than what was advertised digitally and in print, advertising on its online app, "Saturday Sampler", aka free items and then pulling the stock or never putting the loss-lead items out to start with, and then placing items on shelves with prices lower than in the check-out system, along with discounted items with a red price label that ring up at full price. The deceptive practices are so pervasive along with reaping 2500% profit upper that you should take your business to another store including COSTCO, WINCO, FredMeyers or WALMART. It is a sad day when a loyal patron has to part ways with a locally based company due to unsafe food handling and poor customer service. Continuing to place raw meats, including poultry, with ready to eat fresh cut raw produce even after repeatedly making complaints to managment and customer service representatives. Unhappy that they also continuously bait and switch sales items and also sell out of date items and improperly handled hot and cold items that rot or go bad when if handled correctly wouldn't. Raw cold meats placed under the furnace heater. Their high prices didn't bother us too much, for many years, because, hey, we were supporting locally based company. Even produce now seems to be rotten sometimes and it's incredibly surprising to me that these practices haven't led to a lawsuit or even death. No longer willing to risk our health or spend our hard earned money at a place that doesn't value customers health or safety or concerns about their unsafe practices. read more

This store is down and out , they don't seem to have music playing so it has a creepy vibe at night . When they do have it it's outdated 80's music . I'm not impressed w/ the lack of customer service from the stock people or the cashiers either . After I went through and paid for my groceries Tonight , About four of them just stood around and sort of awkwardly stared while i manage to load my cart back up w/ heavy packs of water and stuff . This store is super clean, has incredible selection, and the staff are all super helpful and friendly. Every time I shop here (about twice a week) there are employees walking around the store and making themselves available if customers need help finding something. The meat and seafood department is also great. One of the employees even gave me a tip on some seafood I was eyeing to help me save some money! And my husband LOVES the beer section. They have a huge walk-in fridge that has totally motivated him to start shopping with me more :) read more

This location and its staff make me feel the closest I ever will to having that old time neighborhood market vibe. Every time I go in I end up having a conversation with one of them and they always seem genuinely interested when they ask how you're doing. Ray in produce is super cool, always recommending bitchin' albums and documentaries, as well as knowing his baseball. Chris always has some pretty funny stories, as well. If I ever look lost for more than 30 seconds, someone is always right there to show me the way! Perfect balance of professional, genuine, and friendly... Great deli, great bakery, and great produce!
