I've been going to Albert's since 2010 (their old location, too) and there are many reasons why I go back! I've been to a few mechanics around the state and I can just tell when people upsell you, or lie, get annoyed, or don't care. Albert's has always been professional, caring and if they don't think a problem NEEDS to be fixed, they will let you know! They give great paper summaries of what they've done, what they recommend and what to watch. For example, I've had a few minor oil leaks that they say every time, "it hasn't gotten worse, so we'll still watch it" rather than "it needs fixing, hand us $$$" Since my husband is an engineer, he likes taking over minor repairs like oil changes, break changes, shock changes, etc and Albert's is totally cool with that. Before they do anything to your car, they always call you and go over estimates and plans to get your approval first. Since I have an old car too, they've told me they'll let me know when I should let it go, rather than turning it into a money pit. They're confident I have another 50k miles in it. These guys used to be my only place for repairs. They were awesome and reasonable. This was 3 short years ago. I went there today because my friends wanted to gift me some truck repairs. They thought this was the place to go. First they tried to get a blank check from a friend of mine. Then they started with the excuses as to why they couldn't complete the job in one day then came the call where they gave me an estimate for brakes a starter and a oil change,,,, 2500$. That's right 2500 for brakes and a starter and oil change. When I asked about just the front brakes and nothing else they said 1200$. I asked if I could come get my truck. I get there and they tried to tell me they're going to keep my truck out of concern for the public because it's unsafe. Then when I was going to call police they said I could have it for 143$. To pay for the free brake check they offered at the beginning. I was already late for work and didn't have my phone and I ended up paying for the free brake check. But they did all of this to a person who was already a customer and who's friends are customers, imagine how they treat new customers. Stay away and ignore this greedy dishonest and hateful company. I took my 97 Nissan Altima to this shop after being rejected by a local Nissan shop because according to them ' they don't have the tools to fix my car ' Wha? . Called up other shops and I thought the cost of the repairs were overpriced. I stumbled into this shop because it's close to where I live ( my car won't drive that far and tight budget to tow the car ). How lucky I was. $1800 worth of repairs that involves major open engine surgery, cv boots replacement and tie-rod steering fix up plus complete auto inspection. My car drives like brand new and even passed emissions with flying colors. This shop is freshly built from the ground up after moving from it's old location. It's the nicest and cleanest auto shop in town, IMHO. The mechanics and owner where informative and honest, btw. I came in just for the engine repair and thereafter, mentioned other problems (that I'm aware of for months). I have a few more very minor problems to fix with them....and I'll update my review. read more

Albert's AutoCare has been absolutely fantastic! I am so happy that I found this company, a company that I can actually trust for my vehicle service needs! This means a lot coming from me, especially after years of being subjected to the dishonesty of the chain-stores (who I also refer to as scam artists) like Midas or PepBoys. I got accustomed to saying "No" before the Midas employee even finished explaining the $1500 of problems he found with my car and how it was not safe for me to drive it off the premise. Albert's is a completely different experience! A family-run operation... full of friendly, competent employees! What a concept. When my car had mechanical issues recently, I requested a shuttle run up to campus because I had classes. The owner of the store is the one who drove me up there! He was friendly and telling me about how his Dad started the business, how he eventually took it over and that he could not be happier. When he came to pick me and another customer from campus later on that day, I honestly felt like a kid getting a ride from school from my dad. It was a funny, wonderful experience minus the fact that I knew the car repairs were going to cost me money! I am greatly appreciative to businesses who are approachable to students. This company is affordable and is the neighborhood mechanic you can actually trust! I've had two vehicles worked on here over the years. Being a broke student, cost was always the deciding factor, and I have never felt ripped off or taken advantage of by Albert's. I used to Love this auto repair business, but NOT anymore! I would of wrote a review in June 2017 where the incident occurred but have been on vacation. The owners are a couple Terri is the one of the owners with her husband who was not involved in the business. An employee named Tom who answered the phone was GREAT as well as Terri. Prices were affordable. Then Terri's husband came into being there, they let Tom go SAD! That's where it all began next thing I know my 30.00 oil change went up in price to 50.00!! Then I had a little rattle noise going on when I would go to drive thru. The owner the man owner Teri's husband proceeded to tell me, that my pulley's were loose. He starts verbally giving me an estimate, not on paper it will be 500.00 for new pulley's belts test drive etc. I left. I thought who is he trying to rip off ! My belts car are all intact, because I am a woman I am stupid!!?? I talked to relative in another state who is a mechanic he said oh ya your being taken, all he had to do was tighten the pulley's! I was in dire need of a new battery for my 11-year-old Infiniti I35 and even though the shop was busy and they did not have the battery I needed on hand, they located one for me and had it installed in time for me to finish my errands and pick my wife up at work.
