Happy with the haircuts both my husband and I got. Reasonably priced and pleasant staff.

The haircut cost me $28.00, the stylist cut it to chin length despite specific instruction, left me with wet hair and a drenched T shirt

Extremely Disappointed -- Poor Quality and Lack of Proper Technique…read more I visited this salon to have a previous set of acrylics removed and a new full set applied. I paid $90 for the service, expecting a professional experience, but unfortunately, the quality was severely lacking. During the appointment, I noticed the nail tips repeatedly popping off while being glued on. I expressed my concern to the technician and asked if this would affect how well the acrylics held up. He assured me it would not -- but that turned out to be completely false. Within two days, my right index finger nail broke off entirely. Within a week, two more nails had detached. All of the remaining nails have started lifting at the tips, which is unacceptable and indicates poor prep work. It was clear that proper technique and hygiene were not followed: My nails were not cleaned with alcohol before application. Dust from filing was not removed. No prep work was done to ensure good adhesion of the acrylic. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for basic nail prep is extremely unprofessional. I ultimately had to go to a different salon to have my broken right index nail fixed just two days after it was done. I will now need to return again to have the entire set removed and redone properly -- at my own additional expense. I will not be returning to this salon, and I do not recommend it to anyone looking for long-lasting or professionally applied acrylics. I would leave a 0 start review if I could.

Sassy Nails and Tanning - I'd recommend sassy nails to friends and family. They were super fast and the quality was great also obviously.

Spent three months travelling throughout Maine and although there was only three CVS pharmacies in…read morethe entire state, I was both surprised and relieved that there were actually more Aveda Salons and this one 45 minutes from where we were staying. I was doubtful that they would agree to respond to an internet inquiry as I wouldn't be a repeat customer but was pleasantly surprised when not only they responded but put with one of their most senior stylist as I was sure I'd be put with a newbie. I understand everyone has to start somewhere but I had a sudden health crisis a year ago that resulted in major hair loss. I was subsequently deeply concerned about a neophyte coloring and trimming my hair. I emailed them my regular stylist's "recipe" and Naomi was an absolute master at her craft. She did an incredible job and was very much a subject matter expert as to what I could do to protect my hair that was coming back in and asses how much new growth I had given it was all uneven. I am strictly team Aveda for years and years but often the sacrifice is the personality of the stylist and although I'm fine with silence, Naomi was the absolute coolest and a complete delight. Do hair and your psyche a favor and schedule an appointment with Naomi, you're worth it and so is the experience.

She asked my opinion about many details to be sure I liked how it looked. Her pricing is more than reasonable compared to what most stylists offer, and she even traveled to our airbnb in Gouldsboro on a day the salon is closed. We genuinely enjoyed meeting her and are happy she was a part of our elopement day. Thank you, Eena!! @hairbyeena
