Well, at least they know how to make macarons.
Those were my thoughts as I ate the rose and orange macarons. A few minutes back the server had rolled her eyes as I changed my mind on the macaron selection, but I won't hold the service broadly at fault for the prior evening I'd been helped out patiently by a server with fluent command over English - rarity when that happens, and a quality I'm always grateful for in foreign lands.
There's a broad selection of breads and baked goods, and while I liked the croissants and quiches, I rank them far higher as a patisserie. I really liked the Noisettine (hazelnut chocolate biscuit with milk chocolate mousse) that was recommended highly by the server. Also interesting was the Valencia (spiced biscuit with orange and chocolate mousse layers and dark chocolate).
A Pougnier would be the one shop in Cornavin Geneva I'd repeatedly return to. They are a top notch bakery (4.5 stars) read more
