I called the 3 local listings and only 716 Eye Care would let me order my prescription without an exam in their office. I went today. Denise did my fitting and gave me more time and CARE than I've ever gotten....and I'm 80 years old! They took my insurance. They made suggestions. They saved me a lot of money by taking time to explain how my insurance works, etc. I will be visiting their office next year for my eye exam. So very happy to have found 716 Eye Care.

However, I believe in open communication and try to keep them informed. One instance was when I missed an appointment because I needed to pick up my Autistic son who was having a tough time at his day program. Sadly, in my dismissal letter, this was one of my "missed" appointments. This strikes me as callous. I wish the practice was a bit more understanding of these situations. It might be best to explore other options if you're looking for a practice with more flexibility.

I am not happy that she is not open-minded enough to know that I don't fit the criteria of every other patient. I'm very displeased with the service that I've been getting. Due to her neglect of my care I have been out of work since July of last year. I finally found a couple of doctors that would listen to me and actually treat me however I am now looking for a new primary physician because the other doctors are not PCPs. So if you can go to a different office I would highly recommend staying clear of this one.

The front office was very pleasant and the cleaning and exam went well however, the Hygienist…read morecomments left a lot to be desired. When I declined (because of an on-going problem with Squamish skin carcinoma) the x-rays she told me that the ADA insists on x-rays every three years and that I could leave and reschedule when I was more inclined to accept x-rays. I felt like I had no choice! After I got home I did a search and found that the ADA does NOT insist on x-rays every three years, in fact they state that "one size does not fit all-and that other factors should be considered". The Hygienist's statements were very misleading and totally inaccurate! I'm hoping she gets the remedial training she needs to interact with her patients more accurately and refrains from making things up to meet whatever goals that may be set for her.
