The rooftop was another big selling point with beautiful panoramic views of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and rooftop jacuzzis that were the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and spoke excellent English, which made everything from check-in to asking questions easy. The hotel also has a few bars and dining options, plus a sauna if you're looking to relax. The rooms are a bit dated, but they're clean, comfortable, and well maintained. For Naples (iykyk), this hotel felt pretty upscale, lol. We spent a while on the rooftop taking photos from different vantage points and enjoying the views. In the evening, I also took a dip in the jacuzzi to wind down and relax which felt amazing. The neighborhood also felt safe and was within easy walking distance to many of Naples' top attractions, including Gran Caffè Gambrinus, Galleria Umberto I, Piazza del Plebiscito, the shopping street, and Castel Nuovo, and even the historic center. Having stayed in a different part of Naples on a previous trip, I can honestly say it felt like night and day -- this area is much nicer. The hotel is also located near metro stations, making it easy to get around the city if you're staying longer. They also have a parking garage right next to the hotel which can be hard to find in the city. Overall, this was a great choice for our short stay. If you're planning to catch a ferry or cruise from the ports and want a comfortable hotel in a convenient, walkable neighborhood, I'd definitely recommend!

The staff here is incredible -- from the front desk to housekeeping, to the restaurant staff. We enjoyed a fabulous view from the balcony of our spacious and spotless room. Dinner was also excellent while enjoying such a lovely view of Positano to accompany the excellent food and service. The common areas of the hotel are inviting and spacious and the pool area is wonderful with a bar and bar menu perfect for lunch while taking in the view. There are several other inviting restaurants and shops close by as well that we enjoyed during our week long stay. The hotel staff was very helpful and informed when we contacted them prior to coming with our COVID concerns. We were somewhat reluctant to resume travel during this time - but the staff made us feel very comfortable with reasonable precautions. We are so glad we decided to travel to the Poseidon!

Dash was an excellent server and very attentive. The snacks they gave with our cocktails were also delicious. The cocktails were good. Of note, in Italy, cocktails are just basic mixed drinks but they were still well made and tasted delicious so that's what matters. They also had an extensive cocktail list which was nice as most of the Amalfi Coast doesn't have an extensive cocktail list. The view here is gorgeous. The breakfast which was included in our rate was delicious and offered a variety of foods. I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good.
