You can bring your fancy dress and heals or casual attire, elegant but not pretentious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk, the restaurant and the maids. They went out of their way to make a gorgeous birthday cake for our 3 year old. The food was delicious at every meal, even my picky Italian mother in-law was happy! The hotel was clean, well staffed, family friendly and always helpful and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean with the best closet and storage of any hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere. The bathroom was clean with a full tub and shower, shelves for toiletries, fluffy towels and an electrical plug for hair straighteners and such ( not common) The air conditioner was working fine even with 90 degrees outside. The location is unbeatable, directly on the beach without crossing a street! It's directly on the bike and walking paths which make it perfect for afternoon shopping and evening bike rides ( bikes included) Trust me when I say you will be very pleased with your stay here. Additionally, Paolo was an incredible host - he messaged me great details about the hotel before my stay and was communicative throughout. When I did check in, he provided great information and directions - and also a discount card for the main sites around San Marino! The hotel itself is also spotless and well function - everything was extremely clean, the wifi worked excellent, outlets well positioned for charging devices. You're really getting an incredible hotel experience - for an excellent price. The one downside was I found the walls very thin. It's possible that it was my room specifically - or maybe my neighbors were particularly loud, but I had difficulty falling asleep becuase I was able to hear the room across from me talking in their room and unlocking/locking the room door itself. If you're a heavy sleeper, it's certainly not an issue - but be warned for light sleepers that noisy neighbors who are up late might pose a problem.

When I realized my mistake, I was able to reach Paolo on WhatsApp at almost midnight and he saved the day by reworking my reservation and not charging me. The rest of the staff was helpful with information, directions on how to get to the hotel and other sights in the city. Being a city perched on the very top of a mountain leads to some interesting roads and paths! They also allowed me to store my luggage after checkout whilst I explored. The staff can make or break a stay, they definitely made staying there worth it. The hotel itself is spotless. Like most buildings in the city, it is built of stone and looks beautiful. They have a few parking spots and also can arrange for free parking at on of the city lots of you don't wish to try and navigate up to the hotel. The hotel is located near the second of the three famous towers of San Marino, convenient for sightseeing. I ended up in the family suite as it was the last available room. It had two rooms, one with a double bed, the second with two single beds. The room with the double bed had access to a private terrace (also accessable through the bathroom). No view but a nice private place to sit outside in. The bathroom was spacious and had a bathtub with water jets. Nice to relax in after hiking around the city all day. The included breakfast was the typical European breakfast of pastries, cold cuts, cereals, Nutella , yogurt, etc. Nice to start the day with. I didn't eat in the restaurant for any other meal so can't comment on that. If you're planning a getaway to San Marino, definitely stay here if you can.

However the views are truly unreal from the top. The service is so incredible. It was like a family welcoming you into their small hotel. It has only 18 rooms and includes a free breakfast. It truly is a remarkable experience and such a gem of a hotel. There is also a parking lot located less than 50 meters away from the hotel along with a spout for free water. I would happily stay in this hotel again if I return to San Marino.

The location makes it great for the beach (the Clipper has a reserved part of the beach) and is a short 10min walk into the centre of Pesaro. The breakfast is a cold buffet which is perfectly fine. The evening meal (if you are booked for half board) consists of a couple of choices of starter and main course, which you select the previous evening. The food itself is very good. The rooms are on the whole clean and airy - ideal for a holiday stay. There is a car park around the side of the hotel, but for getting around Pesaro there are bicycles you can hire from the hotel.

The hotel was selected for its price, location and rating, and with two out of three rights, I suppose you should be happy... Anyway, the hotel is seriously dated (more of 70's feeling than 80's...), but clean and with helpful staff. The hotel has a good size (20 m) swimming pool, with sun beds available free of charge for its guests, and bar service by the pool side. Drawback: pool closes for lunch between 12:30 and 15:00. Free parking available according to first come/first serve basis, which normally does not cause any problems, and if so, the staff solves it... Breakfast is good - even really good - by Italian standards (fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bread, cheese, jam, ham etc.). The hotel is located by the beach, but with, in peak season, a rather busy street between the hotel and the wide, umbrella packed, sand beach. Walking distance (20 min) to the city center, cable bus in front of the hotel and thousands and thousands of gelaterias, pizzerias, piadina places, hotels and small shops that you will probably hate, but your kids will love, right outside the door. Good value for money for a week in the sun.
