I want to give this place 3.5 stars. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The on-site restaurant was nice and they were accommodating upon our arrival when they had just closed the kitchen. So, with all those great things, why the three stars? First, the website talks about all the rooms having an ocean view. Well, this was true, but you had to get past the large dumping/trash area just below the balcony and peer past multiple hotels and construction cranes to see your two inch view of the beach. Second, the pool hours were ridiculous. The pool was closed from 1230 to 1500. These are prime swimming hours and there wasn't a guard anyway, so it just didn't make sense. It also closed at 1900 which seemed a tad early for a beach hotel. Third, the bathroom was more awkward than most European bathrooms. The toilet and bidet were so close to each other that not even a small child could get their leg around the bidet. Also the toilet was flush with the wall. So, I can't imagine that they can clean around it easily but also your body is touching the wall while using the loo.
