Additionally, Paolo was an incredible host - he messaged me great details about the hotel before my stay and was communicative throughout. When I did check in, he provided great information and directions - and also a discount card for the main sites around San Marino! The hotel itself is also spotless and well function - everything was extremely clean, the wifi worked excellent, outlets well positioned for charging devices. You're really getting an incredible hotel experience - for an excellent price. The one downside was I found the walls very thin. It's possible that it was my room specifically - or maybe my neighbors were particularly loud, but I had difficulty falling asleep becuase I was able to hear the room across from me talking in their room and unlocking/locking the room door itself. If you're a heavy sleeper, it's certainly not an issue - but be warned for light sleepers that noisy neighbors who are up late might pose a problem.

When I realized my mistake, I was able to reach Paolo on WhatsApp at almost midnight and he saved the day by reworking my reservation and not charging me. The rest of the staff was helpful with information, directions on how to get to the hotel and other sights in the city. Being a city perched on the very top of a mountain leads to some interesting roads and paths! They also allowed me to store my luggage after checkout whilst I explored. The staff can make or break a stay, they definitely made staying there worth it. The hotel itself is spotless. Like most buildings in the city, it is built of stone and looks beautiful. They have a few parking spots and also can arrange for free parking at on of the city lots of you don't wish to try and navigate up to the hotel. The hotel is located near the second of the three famous towers of San Marino, convenient for sightseeing. I ended up in the family suite as it was the last available room. It had two rooms, one with a double bed, the second with two single beds. The room with the double bed had access to a private terrace (also accessable through the bathroom). No view but a nice private place to sit outside in. The bathroom was spacious and had a bathtub with water jets. Nice to relax in after hiking around the city all day. The included breakfast was the typical European breakfast of pastries, cold cuts, cereals, Nutella , yogurt, etc. Nice to start the day with. I didn't eat in the restaurant for any other meal so can't comment on that. If you're planning a getaway to San Marino, definitely stay here if you can.

It is in a quiet neighborhood so there are very few shops, bars and restaurants unless you go down to the boardwalk then there will be more restaurants but they are seasonal. Small, but clean rooms, equipped with TV, safe and air conditioning (which during our stay broke down, problem however solved by the hosts by letting us change rooms). Ask for a room with balcony and sea view. Special offer on sun bed and beach umbrella across the street (7 EUR for 2 beds + umbrella / day). Breakfast is... Italian. Bread. Brioche. Jam. Sweet yoghurt, but no muesli. Coffee. However, the restaurant is reeeeeally good! If it wasn't for all other places you don't want to miss in Fano, half or even full board could be recommended! They said it was an amazing bike vacation and they were right. From arrival to departure Marina (owner) and her staff took care of everything with care and attention to detail. We went with four of our friends, all at different cycling abilities and the five different daily bike tours accommodated everyone from leisure riding to bleeding out of your eyes hard, it was fantastic. I was super impressed with all the guides who made everyone feel like they were Giro pros, no matter what their cycling ability level. The De Rosa team (the rental bike guys) are very accommodating and dedicated to comfort. On my bike, they were happy to switch out my stem from a 90mm to 110mm to put me in a better position for me. The hotel staff are extremely attentive, seemingly anticipating your needs/wants before you think about it. Max (the bartender) was especially gracious and fun to talk to about Italy and just about anything else. The food is really great. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner always had something special and enjoyable. I rode 30+ hours the week I was there and must have gained 5 pounds. LOL. Finally, the guests from all over the world were amazing. It was fun hanging out by the pool or watching the Giro with so many different fun people. I highly recommend the Belvedere it is a treasure.

However the views are truly unreal from the top. The service is so incredible. It was like a family welcoming you into their small hotel. It has only 18 rooms and includes a free breakfast. It truly is a remarkable experience and such a gem of a hotel. There is also a parking lot located less than 50 meters away from the hotel along with a spout for free water. I would happily stay in this hotel again if I return to San Marino.

The staff were incredibly nice and assisted with making sure we got to see all the important sites. The location of the hotel is perfect- we could walk everywhere in the old town. It was a few minute walk to the old town and there are cafes and shops very close. I recommend requesting a room with a balcony with a view. It was spectacular! Unfortunately, we had bad weather but it was still gorgeous. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel because all the other places were closed because it's out of season, but the hotel restaurant was very good as well. I was not disappointed. They also have a good breakfast buffet.
