The best vacation experience I have ever had!…read more My wife and I were told about the Belvedere by my brother and sister-in-law who had visited the previous year. They said it was an amazing bike vacation and they were right. From arrival to departure Marina (owner) and her staff took care of everything with care and attention to detail. We went with four of our friends, all at different cycling abilities and the five different daily bike tours accommodated everyone from leisure riding to bleeding out of your eyes hard, it was fantastic. I was super impressed with all the guides who made everyone feel like they were Giro pros, no matter what their cycling ability level. The De Rosa team (the rental bike guys) are very accommodating and dedicated to comfort. On my bike, they were happy to switch out my stem from a 90mm to 110mm to put me in a better position for me. The hotel staff are extremely attentive, seemingly anticipating your needs/wants before you think about it. Max (the bartender) was especially gracious and fun to talk to about Italy and just about anything else. The food is really great. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner always had something special and enjoyable. I rode 30+ hours the week I was there and must have gained 5 pounds. LOL. Finally, the guests from all over the world were amazing. It was fun hanging out by the pool or watching the Giro with so many different fun people. I highly recommend the Belvedere it is a treasure.

Additionally, Paolo was an incredible host - he messaged me great details about the hotel before my stay and was communicative throughout. When I did check in, he provided great information and directions - and also a discount card for the main sites around San Marino! The hotel itself is also spotless and well function - everything was extremely clean, the wifi worked excellent, outlets well positioned for charging devices. You're really getting an incredible hotel experience - for an excellent price. The one downside was I found the walls very thin. It's possible that it was my room specifically - or maybe my neighbors were particularly loud, but I had difficulty falling asleep becuase I was able to hear the room across from me talking in their room and unlocking/locking the room door itself. If you're a heavy sleeper, it's certainly not an issue - but be warned for light sleepers that noisy neighbors who are up late might pose a problem.

When I realized my mistake, I was able to reach Paolo on WhatsApp at almost midnight and he saved the day by reworking my reservation and not charging me. The rest of the staff was helpful with information, directions on how to get to the hotel and other sights in the city. Being a city perched on the very top of a mountain leads to some interesting roads and paths! They also allowed me to store my luggage after checkout whilst I explored. The staff can make or break a stay, they definitely made staying there worth it. The hotel itself is spotless. Like most buildings in the city, it is built of stone and looks beautiful. They have a few parking spots and also can arrange for free parking at on of the city lots of you don't wish to try and navigate up to the hotel. The hotel is located near the second of the three famous towers of San Marino, convenient for sightseeing. I ended up in the family suite as it was the last available room. It had two rooms, one with a double bed, the second with two single beds. The room with the double bed had access to a private terrace (also accessable through the bathroom). No view but a nice private place to sit outside in. The bathroom was spacious and had a bathtub with water jets. Nice to relax in after hiking around the city all day. The included breakfast was the typical European breakfast of pastries, cold cuts, cereals, Nutella , yogurt, etc. Nice to start the day with. I didn't eat in the restaurant for any other meal so can't comment on that. If you're planning a getaway to San Marino, definitely stay here if you can.

I ordered breakfast with my room; it was OK... was maybe hoping for a little more. Also paid for parking with my room, this was key as there are few places to park around the area. It was a few minute walk to the old town and there are cafes and shops very close. I recommend requesting a room with a balcony with a view. It was spectacular! We ate at the restaurant in the hotel because all the other places were closed because it's out of season, but the hotel restaurant was very good as well. I was not disappointed. They also have a good breakfast buffet.

The location makes it great for the beach (the Clipper has a reserved part of the beach) and is a short 10min walk into the centre of Pesaro. The breakfast is a cold buffet which is perfectly fine. The evening meal (if you are booked for half board) consists of a couple of choices of starter and main course, which you select the previous evening. The food itself is very good. The rooms are on the whole clean and airy - ideal for a holiday stay. There is a car park around the side of the hotel, but for getting around Pesaro there are bicycles you can hire from the hotel.

Andrea's staff is friendly, good natured, and treat you like family. They are always willing to help you find what you need whether it's a taxi to venture out to Tavullia, or great nearby eateries. Everyday I enjoyed a complimentary Italian breakfast which was always satisfying. I would highly recommend this little gem which is only half block from train station which is an added bonus.
