You can bring your fancy dress and heals or casual attire, elegant but not pretentious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk, the restaurant and the maids. They went out of their way to make a gorgeous birthday cake for our 3 year old. The food was delicious at every meal, even my picky Italian mother in-law was happy! The hotel was clean, well staffed, family friendly and always helpful and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean with the best closet and storage of any hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere. The bathroom was clean with a full tub and shower, shelves for toiletries, fluffy towels and an electrical plug for hair straighteners and such ( not common) The air conditioner was working fine even with 90 degrees outside. The location is unbeatable, directly on the beach without crossing a street! It's directly on the bike and walking paths which make it perfect for afternoon shopping and evening bike rides ( bikes included) Trust me when I say you will be very pleased with your stay here. The apartment is spacious, well designed and seems to have been renovated recently to a high standard. There are plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge freezer, 4 burner electric cooktop, oven, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There was also a washing machine and a clothes rack for drying. Serena was a great host - she was super helpful and responsive. This is a great option for a central Ancona stay.

It is in a quiet neighborhood so there are very few shops, bars and restaurants unless you go down to the boardwalk then there will be more restaurants but they are seasonal. Most are closed mid October till whenever beach season is back again.

They said it was an amazing bike vacation and they were right. From arrival to departure Marina (owner) and her staff took care of everything with care and attention to detail. We went with four of our friends, all at different cycling abilities and the five different daily bike tours accommodated everyone from leisure riding to bleeding out of your eyes hard, it was fantastic. I was super impressed with all the guides who made everyone feel like they were Giro pros, no matter what their cycling ability level. The De Rosa team (the rental bike guys) are very accommodating and dedicated to comfort. On my bike, they were happy to switch out my stem from a 90mm to 110mm to put me in a better position for me. The hotel staff are extremely attentive, seemingly anticipating your needs/wants before you think about it. Max (the bartender) was especially gracious and fun to talk to about Italy and just about anything else. The food is really great. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner always had something special and enjoyable. I rode 30+ hours the week I was there and must have gained 5 pounds. LOL. Finally, the guests from all over the world were amazing. It was fun hanging out by the pool or watching the Giro with so many different fun people. I highly recommend the Belvedere it is a treasure.

It is right in the Adriatic Sea - as in walk out the door and you can hear the waves, smell the sea, and within 60 seconds dip your toes in the water! I remember having wonderful meals in the restaurant with lots of wine. The food and service were excellent. The staff were very friendly, speaking limited English. The rooms we were not overly decorated or lavish, but the simple room accommodated for what we needed - a comfy place to stay that was right on the water, a beautiful beach, and a hub we could use as we traveled around sightseeing the city and nearby towns. We'd start each morning with a light breakfast from their kitchen. They usually had a display of cold cuts, yogurt, croissants, pastries, or cereals. We'd then head out to explore the local history and surrounding areas. There are some interesting ancient digs in Fano, and if you're lucky to get a local tour guide they're point out the interesting spots and show you where to stroll up and down the shoreline - la vasca. A favorite memory: sitting outside on their patio at night after a long day of sightseeing, surrounded by beautiful sweet smelling flowers. As we listened to the soothing waves, we'd drink some (or a lot of) wine, reflect on the day's adventure, and play cards until the wee hours. I would definitely go back, because it was molto bene!
