We stayed for two nights!
The hotel is on the opposite side of the ialand from where the airport shuttle takes you. However, it is no more than a five to ten minute walk from the water bus station for San Marco. Its a bit hard to find the entrance, as its a small alleyway right underneath the flags and marked with a floor plate with HOTEL FIRENZE to guide you. It made us feel like we had a secret little hotel so it made coming back home every day feel more like an adventure lol
The service was amazing, the man at the desk was a chill old man who was super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in if we were having a good stay and where we were from / how our travels prior were. He even told us about a terrace in the hotel with a fantastic view of the city.
The room was average size, and had a view of the alleyway leading away from the Grand Canal. But they gave us cute chocolates and complimentary bottles of water and pineapple juice. The mini bar was a bit expensive, but it kinda didn't matter because there's so much around the hotel anyway lol
The hotel was no more than ten minutes away from multiple food places, a few different walking and food tour locations, a small market for cheaper drinks and snacks, the Rialto bridge, Saint Mark's Plaza (piazza de San Marcos), and the water bus station.
Because of the prime location, though, it meant that from our window we could hear the sounds of other tourists and even some of those street performers until well into the night.
Would totally reccomend if you don't need a giant room and dont mind the music and sounds of people outside the hotel partying at night. read more
