Dr. Wilder is my primary physician but I have seen many of the other doctors when I needed to get in the same day. My review will be based in two parts...the office environment (ease of appointments/policies/etc) and review of the physicians. The physicians are awesome at this location in particular Dr. Wilder, Dr. Landis and Dr. Martin. A little background about me before I went to Cabarrus Family Physicians. For years I went misdiagnosed by numerous doctors at different practices. I went to numerous doctors with symptoms of depression, fatigue, dry skin, hair loss, anxiety, weight gain, constantly sick, etc. I kept going from doctor to doctor and they kept giving me a anti-depressant and sent me on my way. None of the other doctors I went to see took much time to really ask me particular questions about my symptoms, lifestyle , job etc. so I kept getting misdiagnosed while I kept on getting sicker and sicker and sicker. Most doctors didn't even run blood tests to see what the real problem was. I became so sick that it was all I could do to go to work and function for a full 8 hours. I would literally have to come home and take a nap before I could prepare dinner. Long story short, the first visit with Dr. Wilder proved to be life changing. He took the time to ask me all sorts of questions about me. He wasn't in a hurry and didn't just pull out a script for an anti-depressant. Instead he did a bunch of blood to run all sorts of tests and promised me he would find out what was wrong with me. He had mentioned that he suspected my sickness was due to an underactive thyroid but said he wanted to check out everything before making a diagnosis. After a very lenghty consultation, which I have NEVER had a doctor take that much time to be that thorough, I knew I had found a great doctor. Turns out my blood work confirmed that I had hypothyroidism. So in other words I spent countless years suffering from misdiagnosis of a very common disorder which could have been easily treated if my previous doctors' would have just taken the time to listen or perform a simple blood test instead of pencil-whipping a prescription. You know the old saying a good doctor is hard to find...so true here. Dr. Wilder isn't just good he is AWESOME. He will write you a prescription if it is needed but he also has enough common sense to try other methods if they are effective. He is very well rounded and knowledgeable and I never feel rushed when talking to him. His nurse Karen is outstanding too! In addition to Dr. Wilder, I have on occasion seen Dr. Landis and Dr. Martin if I needed a same day appointment and both doctors were really good at helping me with what I needed. This practice has some really talented doctors and I highly recommend them. As far as the office environment, I have had both mixed experiences. I will say that getting a "same day" appointment is very easy and they are very accommodating. However, I will point out that there wait times when you call can sometimes be lengthy. (In all fairness though, I have found this to be true of almost every practice). Most of the office ladies are very friendly however I can tell you that I have had a few problems with the office manager. They have a policy that if you miss 3 appointments in 3 years without 24 hours notice, you can no longer go to their practice which I think this is a bit strict but perhaps somewhat fair. However, there are times in life when it is not possible to give 24 hours' notice (work reasons) and it really makes me angry to get a nasty letter from the office manager that comes off as a bit threatening. I think they could better word that crappy letter not to mention that I have gotten one of those letters as long as 6 months after the fact. (totally unacceptable and insulting to me) The billing is a little goofy too. I have had problems with them not communicating with me if they didn't receive a payment from insurance carriers and instead they just turn it over to a collection agency. If they would have just contacted me or sent me a letter, I could have had the problem resolved with my insurance or sent them a payment. It just seems so wrong that I don't get that courtesy but yet I get the courtesy of a nasty gram from the office manager if I cancel 4 hours prior to an appointment. However, with all this being said, Dr. Wilder really is that great of a doctor that it's worth the crap of putting up with the "not so wonderful" office side. In addition, I am sure some of this is a direct cause of the explosive growth at the practice. I would definitely recommend this practice to my family and friends and I would rate Dr. Wilder as one of the best physicians out there.

Terrible customer service and unfriendly front desk staff. I called to let them know I was running…read morelate for my appointment due to unforeseen circumstances and would be 15 mins late according to the gps. I was told it was ok to still come. I arrive at the office and wait 10 mins only to be told I wouldn't be seen and needed to reschedule. Why tell me over the phone I can still come and have me drive 30 mins there to not see me?? I ended up at this office after my primary physician left their other location. Now despite needing medication, I will find another doctor's office before I make another appointment there. I've been at their Prosperity location for years but I'm done with Cabarrus Family medicine for good!

I have been in this hospital multiple times in the last few years. I have received excellent care…read moreeach time I was a patient there. Everyone really cared about the patients and showed it. A good example of this is that I was taken to the hospital with severe stomach pains, the CTscan showed thar I needed immediate surgery. The doctor said "I can do the surgery, but if I were you I would go to Northeast because they have much better post-op care than we do". He contacted Northeast and when I arrived the operating room staff was ready for me. This showed me that they had my best interest at heart. I would highly recommend this hospital for anything other than major problems, then I would recommend Northeast in Concord.

I went in to Atrium health Stanley ER in Albemarle NC with extreme pain pressure in upper left back…read moreby neck. I was there from about 10:45 am to about 4:30 pm. They did do a X-ray and CT scan and some blood work. I have several abnormal blood test results, high blood pressure. I fell asleep due to no sleep night before and long wait in ER. I'm elderly and on a lot of meds so I sleep hard, I'm not easy to wake up. I wake up to a cop going through my purse. I never gave permission for this but I did when I woke up. I was treated horribly after this. I was told I abused my meds. This was humiliating and I became angry the longer I sat there. I was dismissed after this,no diagnosis for what I came in for. I was still in pain and my left shoulder and arm are getting weak now. I cannot go into every detail on here but md had no medical testing to back up his accusations. He embarrassed me in front of everyone in ER. There are no medical, personal reviews or diagnosis to back him. I have medical and personal files to back me. I understand they deal with drug overdoses but this doesn't mean they can treat everyone like they do. I gave them no medical reasons to treat me medically or personally like they did. I'm so embarrassed, humiliated and still in pain, worse pain actually than when I arrived at ER. I want and deserve a apology from Dr Patrick Robinson and Atrium health Stanley ER in Albemarle NC. I will get what was recorded in my medical files from this md ASAP. I will not accept less. I'm not looking for financial gains just apology and personal accusations wiped from my medical files. I hid nothing from them the moment I came in to when I left. I don't recommend anyone seeking this md and I don't recommend a hospital who backs a md treating their patients like this. I will be pursuing my apologies through lawyers, no financial gains.

Dr Kiran Jagarlamundi is so compassionate and understanding. He had spent so much time with me helping me with ulcerative colitis. When we lived in Greensboro I couldn't get any help beyond a mixed diagnosis. This level of care is something I have never seen!! He saw me for the first time on a Friday and the following Monday I had an colonoscopy and was diagnosed correctly!!! I greatly appreciate the respect this establishment has for their patients time. The physicians and staff here are thoroughly friendly, professional and top notch! I like the automated call the day prior to your scheduled visit to remind you of your appointment. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the bathrooms are "pristine." They even have little touches like electric outlet, covers to protect any little ones who may be there. Looking out for the kids. I love that! Some of the offices have water coolers. It is basic hospitality to offer a cold drink of water on a hot day. Today was one of those dog days of summer when a drink of water would have been nice. Every thing else is copacetic so being thirsty is a small price to pay.

Though I absolutely looooove Dr Zsambeky and the girls that work with him, I was shocked to find…read morethat they will not call in a prescription. You must take a hard copy to a pharmacy and return later to pick it up. They are so thorough with updated technology in every other aspect of their practice, I was taken aback by this prescription policy. Most every other physician sends it in from their ipad or phone. Just an inconvenience that I would like to have avoided. Oh well!!!!
