I just had an acupuncture treatment with Jonathan for the first time earlier this week and what an…read moreincredible experience that was. From the moment I stepped foot in the door, Jonathan listened intently as he asked questions that really dug deep into my physical and mental health. He has a super bedside manner which effortlessly lowered my guard almost all the way. I didn't realize how incredibly exhausted, stressed and guarded I've been lately, both mentally and physically. The years have indeed caught up and during the acupuncture treatment, I was feeling emotions and thoughts that I didn't even know I still held on to. He had music playing in the treatment room that really pulls you in. It has such primordial sound to it that it seemed to deeply reasonable with my soul and inner being. At some points, while laying down, it felt like I was having a psychotherapy session with my inner self being the guide. During a few moments, it got so intense that I was about to call it quits, however I focused on my breath, accept the present moment and the emotions that surfaced. From there, I was able to relax even deeper. While I'm not squeamish with needles, I certainly don't like them. Jonathan has a great touch and threaded the needles so smoothly then I barely sense them when they entered the skin. I say barely as of course, your most sensitivity and troublesome body parts will feel it a bit than other areas.. naturally. After the acupuncture portion ended, Jonathan gave me a very relaxing and much needed back massage. After he left the room, I listened to my body and deep some deep self stretching for another 5 minutes. I will certainly be making this a part of my overall regime as I embark on a journey of self-discipline, physical realignment and spiritual discovery.
