When it came time to install central air conditioning in our home, we wanted to make sure we were…read moremaking the right long-term investment. We received an in-home quote from another company that initially seemed almost too good to be true. After doing additional research, we discovered the proposed system had been sized primarily for heating, meaning the cooling capacity would need to be throttled back, potentially leading to increased wear on the equipment over time. The quote also included older, discontinued clearance models that used refrigerant scheduled to be phased out in the near future. That experience made us appreciate the honesty and expertise of Family Danz even more. John R. visited our home, provided a realistic and transparent quote, thoroughly explained the advantages and disadvantages of each Bryant system option, and allowed us to make an informed decision without any sales pressure. As a retired military veteran, I also sincerely appreciated the additional savings they extended as a thank-you for my service. Once we committed to the installation, everything moved quickly. We were scheduled promptly, and before work began, John R. and Residential Installation Manager Josh G. conducted a final walkthrough to verify measurements, answer every question we had, and ensure all of our concerns were addressed. On installation day, Grady and Kayden arrived right on time, listened carefully to our requests, and immediately got to work. Although an unexpected scheduling delay with the electrician from Mackey Electrical meant power wouldn't be available until Wednesday, the installation team adapted their schedule and completed as much of the work as possible in advance. They even coordinated an earlier start on the second day to get ahead of the intense attic heat. Throughout the four-day installation, Josh stopped by regularly to inspect the progress, answer questions, and make sure the crew was working safely and staying hydrated. Every member of the Family Danz team demonstrated professionalism, outstanding communication, and genuine pride in their work. Any issues that arose during the installation were addressed quickly and communicated directly to management, giving us complete confidence that customer satisfaction was their highest priority. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail exceeded our expectations, and the finished Bryant air conditioning system looks and performs beautifully. Based on this experience, we have decided to trust Family Danz with all of our future heating and cooling needs, including servicing our boiler and hydronic baseboard heating system. If you are like us, having a central air cooling system is a major home improvement to not only improve our quality of life but increase the home value. It also does not come without a significant price tag which is why the value and longevity of the system is important to us. We wholeheartedly recommend Family Danz to anyone looking for honest advice, skilled installation, and exceptional customer service. They truly earned our 5-star rating.

I called several times for a repair on a solar system and they never followed up. How do these…read morecompanies survive today? Customer service has seemed to be non existent nowadays. A shame... (Follow up review). What started off as a poor experience with Kasselman turned out great. The problem was in the communication, or the timing of communication between myself and Kasselman electric. Most people today have cell phones with spam blockers. If I get a call from a number not programmed into my phone it goes directly to voicemail. Phone calls get "lost" or unanswered if no message is left. Enough with that...Kasselman was able to arrange for a solar tech from another solar company to replace a couple of micro inverters that my installer (Albany Solar Solutions) refused to take care of...regardless of contract. (News flash...DON'T EVER use Albany Solar Solutions for Solar...EVER!). Had I known, I would have hired Kasselman from the start. Even though Kasselman would not touch my system due to "liability issues", the manager at Kasselman, Jim, DID get me hooked up with a super nice guy from Clemens Electric named Ray. Simple and easy replacement. Thank you to Kasselman Electric, Clemens Electric and to Ray Bohok for being so quick and responsible to my needs! A+

Before we bought our house in Albany, we had it inspected. That's just what you do. And a good…read moreinspector is tough. They've seen it all. The good. The bad. The ugly. One thing our inspector called out was the quality of the roof. It was excellent. Not only that, but he commended the roofers on the quality of its construction. I tucked this memory away for about twelve years, until the day a tree fell on our house and tore a hole through our perfectly good roof. Thankfully, we were insured. In all the chaos of trying to repair the damage to the car, remove the tree, shore up the hole, and replace the garage door, there was on thing that I was sure about: We would hire Z. Ipek & Sons to replace the roof. After all, they were the contractors who wowed our inspector over a decade ago. When Omer came over to give me the estimate, he remembered putting the roof on our house. Except for the fallen tree, it was holding up very well. He was able to swing by before the insurance adjuster visited, which helped to provide me with some critical information for the adjuster. The only hard part was that we were in a race against time. Z. Ipek had a full work load, and Omer would soon be leaving for a long deserved vacation to attend a family wedding. And to make matters more complicated, our house was on the market at the time, plus we were actively in the process of moving out, with movers, a truck, and everything. Amazingly, Omer and his crew made it happen! I may have panicked a little bit when I saw the crew on the roof earlier than expected on moving day. But they had planned for the window when the moving truck needed to be in the driveway. I cannot say how Z. Ipek compares to other roofers on quality or cost. But the actual cost wasn't a penny higher than the original estimate. And they were able to execute all the work within the budget of the insurance claim. If that's not a five star roofer, I don't know what is.
