I was the first case of the day and was prepared for 8 o'clock procedure by thr care team, the catheterization nurse checked with and we were all prepared. Dr McDonagh showed up after 8:30 am. He asked about a previous Cardiac catheterization I had where the doctor had performed the procedure through the groin area(femoral artery). He asked if the previous doctor has accessed my arm (brachial artery) and I told him he thought it was too small. He decided to use my arm anyway. He started the procedure and I told him it hurt, then told him it Really hurt, then with tears in my eyes I turned my head and let out a huge "F" bomb. He then said " did we forget to give her medication", the nurse replied "yes". He then gave a verbal order and I don't remember anything until they woke me up to return me to the recovery area. My arm "hurt" very much and was very badly bruised. I feel like I was assaulted both physically and mentally. Never again!!

Even one that felt like a baseball bat hit my chest, they said "that's you pushing the button". Yet the other reading were clear as day for you to read when I pushed the button, while the baseball bat one was OFF the chart! I am still having heart issues. I had a doctor tell me to "take magnesium until [I] shit myself, then back off by one." I have something wrong and they can't figure it out. They piggy back off each others work and don't free think or think outside the box. I have tried newer younger doctors and the older ones at AHI. If you have anything out of the norm don't bother with this place, they will eventually kill you.

I first had glue stints placed in both my legs to fix the blood flow and also had a phlebectomy. I am 3/3 for amazing medical service. The entire staff in the vein center is super warm and friendly.
