She was taken from the lobby and then waited by herself in a room for 45 minutes before being seen by anyone. The extra procedure they did on her was $1,000 extra and they had no problem billing that amount. The extra procedure took 3 days to recover from and I would not have said yes to it. I called several times to speak with a manager and despite leaving messages with people and on voicemail, the manager never responded. I just got calls from the front desk asking to be paid. When I told them that I was changing dentists and wanted to leave with no bills they said I was squared up -owed nothing. Months later they called me about a payment that they found I owed. I could go on and on, but not worth any more of my time. This place is overpriced and unprofessional.

My sister's been a nurse for years and the dental hygienist berated her about her presumably high blood pressure. She then went into depth about "teaching" her about her teeth and gums, and proceeded to poke her gums until her entire mouth was bleeding. She felt shamed and violated. This woman should be held accountable and/or fired. The appt was around 11 on November 3rd. I'm guessing she has had other complaints. And you've just lost a client who also owns her own business and has sent people to this dental office as well.

And I saw a review where someone didn't get their deposit back. Honestly every time I come here I never felt the staff being friendly when checking in and out.

Shortly thereafter Dr. Hyer retired. In the year and a half since then they have not hired a practitioner who is able to perform the surgery. Despite repeated attempts to receive a refund I am told various reasons why they just can't get around to it. For example the office manager is not authorized, or the owner has to approve it, or they have to check the records, etc. This is been going on for months. In my opinion it is unethical and unprofessional to take a patients money for a particular service, then fail to provide the service, and then fail to address the return of the deposit.

My hygienist, Melissa, did a slew of x-rays and Dr. Ryan did an exam. He took care to explain to me what he was doing and what he was looking for. Then he explained in laymen's terms to me what he thought the issue might be and what we could do about it, which included opting for a mouth guard before a crown. It was noteworthy to me, as a professional woman that during his exam the hygienist (Melissa) flagged something she noticed in my x-rays that she was concerned about. He responded to her politely and complimented the job she did with my x-rays. I appreciate they have a professional environment where staff are welcome collaborate in patient care. I really appreciated that the Dr. Ersland made sure I understood what was going on with my teeth and my options and didn't just try and make a buck. Glad to have found my dentist in Anchorage. P.S. Melissa did a solid job too and we had a great time swapping hunting and fishing stories throughout my cleaning.

Dr. Brett Gardiner practices at Williams Dental Care in Midtown. My husband started seeing Dr…read more Gardiner on a recommendation from a coworker. My husband hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and was impressed by Dr. Gardiner and his staff at Williams Dental Care. This prompted me to start seeing Dr. Gardiner myself. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 7 years at that point, mostly due to lack of insurance. Well, I had found a new job with good insurance and was ready to catch up on some much needed dentistry, so I made an appointment. Making an appointment was easy. They try to be very accommodating at these offices, offering appointments at 7 a.m. so you don't have to miss any work. You can also make appointment requests on the Williams Dental Care website: http://www.myanchoragedentist.com/. My first appointment with Dr. Gardiner went very well and we established a treatment [plan to get my teeth back into good shape after having been neglected for so long. Dr. Gardiner is very kind and has a very good way of explaining what he's doing so you aren't just sitting there with your mouth wide open with sharp, pointy tools in there and no idea what the heck is going on... His equipment is state of the art, but that does not mean he charges beaucoup bucks for cleanings or fillings. The reason I went to Dr. Gardiner, besides the recommendation from my husband's coworker was that my old dentist had retired and the dentist he sold his practice to started charging extortionary fees. The fees at Williams Dental were less than the fees the other dentist charged me seven years previously! Between the reasonable fees, the good staff, the central location and state of the art equipment, Dr. Gardiner and Williams Dental Care will be the only dentist my family will see. He genuinely seems to care about not only your dental health, but your overall well-being. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. P.S. And they bill insurance. P.P.S Not only do they bill insurance, they do it in a timely manner!
