As they always say... if it ain't broke don't fix it. Alandas ignores the classic ice cream shop layout by having customers pay for ice cream before they get it. Cool, now after I have paid I can deal with customers behind me breathing down my back and ignoring personal space because everyone is rushed for their ice cream! There is also two different counters that are scooping, but you can't really tell which flavors they have because of the crowd of people in front of you and the chalk board in front doesn't seem to be accurate. When you get to the front... no samples?!? I sure wish I had a sample because I thought my strawberry gelato was not that good, and just one sample would've lead me to a flavor I liked. Also when they scoop the gelato into a cup, they literally remove any gelato that goes above the cup line and put it back in the tub. That just seemed unnecessary to me and particularly stingy with prices already a little high. The gelato is fine. read more
