About 5 years into my squash career, I got some lessons, fixed a bunch of things and slowly got better. I had been able to take my game to a relatively strong level of squash, but I just couldn't seem to break into feeling comfortable at the A level. With some very subtle tweaks, and some not so subtle, Shahier was able to break down inefficiencies in both my swing and my movement. After working on and applying my newly acquired knowledge, I saw massive improvements in my ability to hit the ball with much greater accuracy, weight of shot, and (when needed) effortless power. I can't say enough about my experiences at the Squash Revolution camp. I've attended the Toronto camp 3 years in a row and plan on a fourth. I learn something new and invaluable every time. One on one coaching, great drills, match strategy, footwork, technical and to end off, you get to have Shahier grind you to exhaustion in game play. Shahier is a former top PSA player -his squash skills and knowledge are at the highest level. See you next summer.

My son also takes lesson from Shahier at Squash Revolution, Ryerson. Great advice on drills, mental prep, physical training & match play. Shahier has a positive energy & outlook to improve weaknesses & continue to build strengths. Incredibly motivating, smart, kind & funny. A superb mentor & coach for our son!

The water is clear and feels much gentler on the skin compared to regular chlorinated pools, as it's a saltwater pool. It's much more pleasant, and I found it refreshing for a swim. The pool operates on a reservation system, with 4 lanes and a maximum of 8 people, so it never feels crowded. It's perfect for those who want to swim in a more private and calm environment. Since I went on a weekday, there were hardly any people, and my friend and I practically had the place to ourselves. It was so relaxing! Having that much space made the swim even more enjoyable, with no rush and no distractions. Besides the pool, the club also has squash and pickleball courts, though I didn't get the chance to try them yet. I'll definitely be coming back to experience those next time! All in all, it was a very comfortable swimming experience. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and relaxing place to swim and unwind, the Mayfair Clubs saltwater pool is definitely worth a visit!

I tracked my way down a dark and dimly lit road secured by the turn-by-turn instructions of my GPS. If you didn't know where to look after dark, you could miss the secluded Buffalo Launch Club. I risked taking a spot in the members lot, left my vehicle, and then explored the beauty of the surrounding waterfront property. Stopping just past the light house, I stood and gazed upon rows of boats resting in the shadow of the bridge I had just escaped. As I enjoyed the night air, I turned to view the split dock setup packed full of interesting boats and their passionate owners. I walked around in short strides, my eyes firing quick glances in all directions. I saw power boats, luxury boats, and party vessels bobbing to the soft strides of the tiny lapping waves. This was an Elite Poker Run and I was rather excited to be here. As I passed through conversational bubbles, listening for words of interest, I found myself heading up the sidewalk, past the manicured lawn and towards the Club House. I lapped the building to gather a fuller understanding of its structure, and entered through the front doors. In the main entryway hung historical photos that painted a more completed picture of the surrounding property. I held images of old fashioned wooden boats in my mind as I stepped past the staircase and into the large dining area. Neatly placed tables sat empty, perhaps recovering under their white linen cloths from the days events. I felt unsure of somethings I considered and stepped towards the bar area in search of a Scotch. Conversations ensued. I recall only pieces of them, such as meeting someone new and discussing the finer points of relationships with an old friend. During these events the mood remained relaxed and welcoming from both the patrons and the staff. As I walked back towards my vehicle, I felt the eager pull of sleep. I held onto positive vibes during the drive home, serenaded by the sweet melody of old school hiphop. I had discovered a new place and added a small adventure to the map of my life. I slept well that night, perhaps stilled by the calmness I carried with me.

Not a lot of people for a Sunday dinner which I was still surprised that we couldn't make reservations for 5:30 pm. At the end, the most they had was 6 tables with guests. So basically, quite empty. While we waited for our food, we were presented with complimentary chips and a dip, house made since it was still warm. Crunchy yummy!! My hubby had their burger with a salad. And he said it was pretty damn good!!! I had the eggplant Parmesan but sans the cheese. The two eggplant pieces were large and the pasta was cooked right. Smothered with lots of tomato sauce. However, I was surprised it came in a bowl instead of a plate. So indeed the presentation could be better. Overall, the taste was there and I was a happy Cat. Too bad I didn't have room for dessert. I would have loved to try their chocolate avocado cake. Sounds interesting!?
