I left this office feeling frustrated, confused, and frankly, very disappointed. I came in for a…read moredental procedure, only to have Dr. Lee tell me that the treatment will most likely not be effective and that I would likely need a crown instead. I asked why we weren't just proceeding with the crown if that was the more reliable option, but rather than clearly addressing my concern, the dentist kept repeating himself without actually answering my question. As I attempted to clarify my concerns, namely, that I didn't want to pay for two procedures if a crown was ultimately necessary, I felt dismissed. I even said it felt like I was being gaslit because my questions were not being answered directly. Only then did he explain that he was confident in the treatment plan and had only been presenting a "what if" scenario. I appreciated the clarification and told him I understood, and he apologized for the earlier confusion. He then numbed my mouth with a lidocaine injection and left the room. A few minutes later, the office manager came in to tell me the dentist would not be performing the treatment due to what they considered "hostile language." I was completely shocked. I had asked valid questions about my care and tried to understand my options, this should never be labeled as hostile behavior. What's even more upsetting is that they numbed me before informing me they wouldn't continue with treatment. That felt both unprofessional and unnecessary. I will not be returning to this office. Patients have every right to ask questions and seek clarity about their treatment plans. If a provider cannot handle that, it may be time to re-evaluate their approach to patient care.

I initially tried their practice because they're in the neighborhood and offered plans for people without insurance. Comfortable, personable, friendly, fast, and quality work. I was a fan. I removed a star because customer service has slipped dramatically. Now the office doesn't return calls or respond to emails in a reasonable time frame. I've worked for years in a small business, and I prefer small, family-style practices/businesses. Accordingly, I tend to give extra understanding that small businesses are trying to manage their operations and their actual services. I called the office in April to schedule a cleaning (admittedly, I was way overdue since my previous appointment there). I left a second voicemail a week later. In mid-May, I emailed the office to ask for a return call to schedule an appointment, or, to arrange transfer of my patient records, if the practice had closed. Finally I made an appointment elsewhere, seeing that dentist in July. Now I'm at a new job, and trying to arrange my dental coverage. I called Dr. Taddeo's office this morning to try asking which plans are accepted, and received a voicemail. I didn't bother leaving a message because, technically, I'm still awaiting a response to April's voicemail, and it's now the end of August. Dr. Taddeo's approach and work is the only reason I'm trying to remain a patient. If the staff would simply reach out and return my calls or email, I'd still make her my primary dentist. I hope they'll see this review and give me an opportunity to add that star back. TL; DR: Great once you're in the office. Good luck hearing from them until then.
