They did a filling on me a few months ago and it is very sensitive and food is getting stuck in it. I went in for a cleaning and asked them to try to look at the filling they did and was told nothing could be fixed. Left with 2 issues that were not existing before I got that filling done. My boyfriend went there 2 months ago and his filling came out last week. Lasted him less than 2 months! Staff is very kind but doctor does not do good work super disappointed. read more

Geoffrey E. Donoho: Not your average Ginger Tooth Doctor I have been going to Dr. Donoohoo's office for the past 37 years. Why? He is just a gem. The ginger haired tooth doctor works wonders on his patients, and occasional animal patients, with such delicate care. If I could describe Dr. Donhonohon in one word, it would be "steadfast hands". The cat in his waiting room is very sweet too. Her names is "Beep Beep Dentist" and keeps me safe in a place as terrifying as a dentist's office. My whole family sees Dr. Donoho. His staff is excellent, the office is organized, the space is clean as a whistle. The best thing about his practice is that he doesn't ever try to up-sell us on any service we don't need. He is very very practical and restrained in his advice and care. Initially had a positive experience with a cleaning and cavity filling, but then it turned out to be extremely frustrating. I was overcharged for my filling, which led to billing complications with my FSA. The office acknowledged that I had a credit, but would not issue a check to refund me. Each time I called they said the Dentist was too busy to sign the check and that they could not help me unless I was physically present. Dentist is efficient and works quickly, you dont spend alot of time waiting to be seen. Initial encounter with him was nice, but it seemed something changed on my second appointment. I cant quite put my finger on it but he just didnt seem as nice. Also, a month or so after my initial appointment I had a dental issue after hours. I contacted the service for a call back and he never called me to find out the problem. That spoke volumes alone. I also had issues with one of the girls who works at the reception desk.The girl who answers the phone and schedules appointments is the rudest, nastiest person I have ever encountered at a medical facility. At first I thought I caught her on a bad day because I thought she was the same person I initially scheduled with and was super nice. Boy was I wrong...her attitude changed quick and when I didnt acknowledge her mean behavior it seemed she just got worse. I would also like to add that I was waiting on a quote for dental work that I needed completed and they never reached out to me to give me the info. I ended up contacting my insurance company myself to find out what the predetermination of charges would be. In closing, I stopped going to this dentist and ended up switching back to my old dentist due to the aforementioned. I would not recommend this provider for your dental needs. read more

Even though I've moved from Ardmore to Philadelphia, I have kept Dr. Donoho as my dentist. He is young, attractive, and seems very happy being a dentist. I haven't had serious dental problems since seeing him - gum problems and two cavities. Got the cavities filled in 20 minutes and he was supportive of allaying my dental anxiety. Because of my receding gums, I had a tooth scaling a couple of years back, which is a super long, deep tooth cleaning with Novocain. I am getting tooth cleanings 3 or 4 times a year. I wish I could say its quick and easy, but I'm in the chair for a good 40 minutes. They use both hand instruments & ultrasound in the tooth cleanings. They are very thorough. And they send postcards AND phone calls to remind me of the visit. Those reminders are invaluable to me as I often block out thinking about the dentist. The hygenists are incredibly friendly and sunny. And the rooms are bright, colorful and have flat screen tv's for entertainment. The costs of tooth cleanings aren't bad (insurance only pays for 2, not 4 cleanings a year). I think I pay something like $125 out of pocket, which is probably average for the Main Line. The waits are reasonable- no more than 5 or 10 minutes and the waiting room has a nice selection of magazines. For those of us who can't afford the cost of a disposable magazine, it feels like a treat. Dr. D. is the only dentist I've consistently used as an adult and I would consider him my "family" dentist if I actually had a family. The long commute to see him is worth it. read more

Dr. Donoho is the BEST! I have been seeing him since he took over this practice. The staff are friendly and warm and I always feel comfortable here, despite my qualms about going to the dentist! The office is comfortable and he is easy to talk to. I have had some minor issues/concerns since using Dr. D. and he always makes suggestions without my feeling like he is forcing anything upon me. He also nicely explains what *could* happen if I don't deal with certain problems. He seems to have a full service practice which is another plus! Couldn't recommend him more :) read more

The best dentist office I have ever visited. All the modern advantages to provide maximum efficiency and comfort. I am completely impressed. From the moment you walk into the comfortable modern office you feel at home. Friendly employees, a great waiting room complete with coffee and granola bars. They even give you change if you need it for the parking meters! Dr. Donoho is kind, funny and has a great bedside manner. For the first time in my life, I don't dread going to the dentist. Tereca who is one of the dental hygienists does a great job with cleanings and a highly recommend her. I liked the music and the place evens smelled good. Clean, friendly, and modern. What's not to like. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but this was the best dentistry experience I have had. Give it a try. Echoing a previous reviewers sentiments about another review. I'm not sure who that person is referring to as rude but this office is just about the nicest doctor's office (not just dentist) I've ever been to. I should first state that I have no idea what the pricing is. My insurance fully covers it. Second, I've had three 7:30am appointments here with no problems. Always started on time (though, I would hope so being the first of the day). The hygienist is literally one of the nicest and kindest persons you will ever meet. Third, I will agree that the dentist is in and out but he's very kind. Always asks about my weekend, about my graduate school studies, if I'm excited about Villanova basketball, etc. It's as painless of a visit as you can get. I've never had any major issues so he's never had to spend too much time with me. Just asked me the typical questions and he's done. He probably wants to spend more of his time on those who need it. Let's just say if I had an appointment later in the day, this would make me really happy because we all know how doctor's offices can get backed up sometimes. seeing quite a few questionable reviews for dentists pop up lately, i felt compelled to write a legitimate one about mine. first, some background: i saw my childhood family dentist for far too long after moving out of jersey. i dealt with the 1.5 hr drive from philly and the difficulty of saturday morning scheduling because A, i trusted this man with my extensive history of dental work and B, the rents were footing the bill. twice i attempted to switch to someone more local, and the [unpleasant] experiences had me running back to jerz. fast forward to last summer: after a nearly 2 year hiatus (terrible, i know) due to my apprehensions about trying yet another local dentist, i started seeing dr. donoho. he came recommended by a good friend, was close to home, accepted my insurance AND new patients - done! little did i know just how pleased i would be. everyone in the office was friendly from day one, as if they had known me since i was 8 like my previous dentist ... the cloudy sky decals over the florescent ceiling lights made leaning back in the ol' chair a bit more comfortable ... when my crown fell out, they put me on the schedule first thing the next morning without me having to beg ... when i had a cavity filled, it was quick and painless ... not to mention, there is a tv in each room that the patient gets to control, there is coffee, tea & granola bars in the waiting room AND, at the receptionist's desk, a dish of quarters to use for the parking meters! if you are anywhere in the ardmore area and in need of a great dentist, i highly recommend setting up an appointment with dr. donoho. read more

I've seen the dentist a few times, the staff is very nice, when he replaced my filling I have to say it was the least painful shot I've ever gotten. Admittedly, the dentist doesn't spend much time with you, he's in and out but if you're not concerned about that I'd recommend him. Just visited Dr. Donoho's office for the third time today and I can definitely say he is the best dentist I have ever had. His staff is warm and friendly and I really appreciate how they send text messages to remind you of your appointment. My dental hygienist (I forgot her name - oops) was very good and Dr. Donoho was in to see me minutes after my cleaning was done. I also love how they give you quarters to pay your parking meter out front and my little baggie with a toothbrush and floss that I get to take home after every visit. After 2 years of Philly dentist anxiety, which resulted in a 2 year cleaning hiatus, a toothache led me to yelp in search of an awesome dentist in the Philly area. I know, I know - who the hell Yelps a freakin dentist?! I do. I went to the same dentist for 25 years; switching to new one is INTENSE. Anyway, Dr. Donoho got rave reviews on yelp, so I took a chance and I am glad I did. Everything about his office is warm, (as) inviting (as a dentists office can be), and nice. The dental hygienist I had was WONDERFUL!! I can't remember her name, but she did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Thanks to her, I will return for the work that I need done (see 2 year dentist hiatus). Dr. Donoho was also fantastic! Calm, cool, and collected is what comes to mind. I have been here twice. The whole cleaning process was very efficient both times. The hygienist was great. First office I've gone to that I can say I felt no pain. The ladies at the front desk are very pleasant. Dr. is a cool hip guy. I like the décor euroflair style of the architecture and artwork. This is the go to place for very fast efficient service accompanied by pleasant staff. I'm not sure whom a previous reviewer encountered that he stated was rude, but the last time I was there late afternoon the lady was very charming and cute. read more

This is just a fantastic dentist's office, start to finish. The reception staff is uncommonly sweet, every hygienist I've seen has been kind and thorough and gentle and reassuring, and Dr. Donoho himself is good-natured, unintimidating, and very good at what he does. I especially love the fact that instead of being filled with posters of gum disease and other nerve-wracking trappings of a typical dentist's office, this one is decorated with vintage travel posters. It makes such a difference; the place is soothing and sophisticated. It's hard to say I look forward to cleanings, but I never come near to dreading them--now they don't even make me nervous, and I leave feeling truly happy about my teeth. All I've had done has been routine cleanings, but Dr. Donoho fixed a small chip in my husband's front tooth, and he did a remarkable job with that--like, beautiful--and made the process so quick and easy. I hadn't been to the dentist in 7 years! So needless to say, I was expecting the worst, from pain to being judged....I was prepared to take it. Despite my understandable need for a cleaning, I had the most pleasant dental experience i have ever had.
