This late summer/early fall festival happens in late September at Oak Point Park in Plano, TX…read more Yes, it has already happened this year, but save the date for next year- the dates for 2023 are September 21, 22, and 23. Other than watching hot air balloons, there is still plenty to do. You can find vendors at the fair, listen to concerts and performances, meet the pilots when they land, watch dancers, and enjoy the food court. Feel like running? Sign up for the 5k that happens on the Saturday morning of the fair. There is also a Kid's Fun Zone with games, rides, and art activities. Want to ride in a balloon? While you can't get full rides, you can do a tether ride for $25 (or $15 for kids). Depending on where you park, it's anywhere from $5 to $20.This year (2022)the parking attendants weren't accepting credit cards. and they have a lot of diversions they couldn't a lot of good parking. Tip: GO early for next year if you would like to enjoy it because of the traffic rules and diversion you will not be able to reach the place on time.

Campus police did little to nothing to help w flow of traffic. Old guys standing behind their cars on Jupiter and not helping w traffic. Major safety issues Don't waste time on Sundays. Balloons we fun but crowd was very disappointed

This five acre neighborhood park has everything you would want in a local housing community park…read more Renovated in 2012, it is beautiful and in great condition. The park is located in the Rolling Ridge Estates in Murphy, Texas 75094. Given the size, location and the fact that it was built as a neighborhood park this is not a place you want to load up your kids and dogs and drive 30 minutes fighting DFW traffic to come see and spend time at. Don't get me wrong... this is an absolute great park deserving of the five star rating I have given it but it is a park for the local community and service people for the neighborhood. As a Murphy Texas dog walker I love the park and it is perfect for dog walkers and pet owners. It would also be great for baby sitters or children care-takers that are providing services to one of the homes in the neighborhoods. Absolutely, the neighborhood community should be spending some quality time here. If you are considering buying a house in the DFW area you should factor in your buying equation this awesome park. But, with all that being said, it is primarily an awesome local neighborhood resource. Love the large pavilion with multiple picnic table, bbq grill and electric outlets. Plenty of benches well placed by the water and along the .38 mile walking path which surrounds the park. An awesome walking path for your fur babies of all ages and sizes. It has two shaded playgrounds (a must when dealing with the Texas summer sun), an open swing set, a rocker, baby swing set and two water drinking fountains. The pond is beautiful and fishing makes for a good way to pass the time of day here. Be sure to check out the photographs as they paint a much better picture of this park than I do. If you are in the neighborhood you owe it to yourself to check it out and spend some time here.
