I will be using Citywide from here on for the mere fact that other companies INSIST on doing everything at once, it's like all or nothing. They can't be bothered with a small job or offer a solution for your predicament and make you feel bad for wasting their time. Some companies say they understand but they really don't. In addition, we discovered a plug in a bathroom would occasionally lose power. In both cases, the situation would be resolved by resetting a GFCI plug in the garage. I was concerned that I may have damaged the wiring when I put up my pegboard or shelves on the wall. I looked around for an electrician, and yesterday I chose NES Electric. I'm so glad I did. It was easy to schedule an appointment and today Jason came over and fixed me up. I was impressed that he explained the many things that could be causing the problem. He clearly explained the many options and the downsides to each. I finally decided to follow his advice; first, he troubleshot the wiring, and determined I hadn't damaged the wires. What a relief. Then he replaced the GFCI plug, and then replaced the box and plug for the irrigation system. Based on his comments as he worked (I was asking him a lot of questions, so it took him a while), I expected a $300 bill. But at the end, it turned out to be a whole lot less. And, he said I had a one-year warrantee. What else can ask for ? good work, clear explanations of causes and a more than fair price. I'm keeping their phone number close to hand. Thanks Jason.

Of course this came to a head a little after 5:30 pm when you would think all the service techs would have called it a day. I posted my emergency on Yelp, and Jason replied within a minute to ask a few questions and let me know he could be here within the hour. He made it here in 30 minutes. This is the service of yesteryear when it meant something to commit to the very best. Jason explained thoroughly how these breakers can take a turn and fail when not properly maintained. (In our case we had some screws that were loose, causing the intermittent flow to tax the breaker) We had used our home warranty service to have an AC guy look at the problem previously (before the breaker completely failed) and he had completely misdiagnosed the problem. Beware using "home shield" vendors, as they are paid very little and will fit the repair with what profits them the most! It was quite a fiasco until NES came out and solved it in a snap.

I texted all my info…read moreto Bryan (a Master Electrician) from Seven Petal Electric because I wanted our home's breaker box up to city standards so that I can have a Tesla charger connected to my home in the near future. Bryan promptly returned my texts, provided a fair and clear estimate, and we got it scheduled right away. Bryan and his apprentice, Dillon, from Seven Petal Electric, came and began to work rightaway away at 8:00 AM. Bryan is exceptionally knowledgeable about breaker boxes and was completely transparent about exactly what he was going to do and how long the job would take. Bryan walked me through what he was doing and what needed to be done to get the box back up and running. He also double-checked with his apprentice to make sure everything was being done correctly. I believe Bryan is a very professional individual who genuinely cares about his customers and the quality of his work. I look forward to having Bryan handle all my future electrical services because I know it will last a long time when a professional like him installs it. Thanks, Bryan, for what you did! This was my first time using Seven Petal Electric for a replacement job, and I am absolutely happy with the results. What I like about Seven Petal Electric generally, and Bryan specifically, is that he is incredibly transparent about what he is going to do and what to expect. There was never any ambiguity about the cost, time, or outcome of the project. I truly appreciated the transparency at every step of replacing the breaker box. On a side note, I also highly appreciated how Bryan was mentoring his apprentice--explaining the right way to do things and what to watch out for. The stellar workmanship from Seven Petal Electric was the determining factor that convinced me to hire them again in the near future. As long as their workmanship remains this high and they continue to prioritize customer satisfaction, I will always use Seven Petal Electric and will highly recommend them to my co-workers and friends.
