Purchased thousands of dollars of blinds from this company for our newly remodeled home about 2…read moreyears ago. The service was initially fine (as long as the sale happened), but since, the service and quality of product has proven to be subpar. We've had 5-10 blinds replaced in our home due to them breaking or faulty installation. We've paid $100 for them visiting our home each time they come out for a service visit due to their faulty products. (They refunded us the last service visit since I complained publicly on Google.) The biggest issue I have is that we were sold a terrible product that keeps breaking. I'm also recently frustrated by the replacement products - this most recent replacement was the wrong size! How does this happen? The installer said that he couldn't get the old blinds back up in the meantime while the correct size was being ordered - so to block the sun out of my newborn's room, he had plastic and cardboard to put on the window. Not exactly the nursery aesthetic we're going for. Luckily, my husband was able to get the old non functional blinds back up in the room as we wait for them to resolve their issues with the manufacturer of the janky products they sell. It's a true comedy of errors with this team. So 74 days later after reporting this issue for the blinds in our infant's nursery, we're still waiting for any type of update on if we will get the right size of blinds replacements. This is just the story of one most recent replacement. I have at least 4 more stories. Seems absurd for only two years of use, and consumers should be warned. Not sure where the other reviewers are from. I assume they are bought. Buyer beware.

Looking for shutters and blinds combo. We met with Dallas and he he was very attentive and took the time to listen to our needs and than focus to show us what we were looking for etc. Didn't try to up sell us which is pleasant thus allowing customers to decide for themselves, yet taking his recommendations into consideration. Ironically, Cyndi was "off" that Saturday but she just happen to swing, so happy to have met her. She "chatted" a little bit and allowed Dallas to take care of us which we were ok with. On Monday we received the multiple quotes from Dallas since we asked for a couple of options. At this point, we've not made the purchase yet.. house is new construction so still a few months out. Next step: We will reach out to Cyndi / Dallas and that we are pleased with the quote provided. He came with recommendations which helped with my decision making. He did state that the installation would more than likely take place within 4 weeks of the estimate. We agreed to the price and the time frame. A couple of weeks later, I decided to add on the master bedroom to the project. Josh once again came by and sent me the estimate which we agreed to. Unfortunately, this ended up delaying the install since I wanted them done all at once: living room, loft and bedroom. The installers showed up on the scheduled date and time. Took them almost a full day for the install since they had thirteen windows to complete, including the French door in the bedroom. Installers were friendly and tried to work around my conference calls since I was working from home. Noise was inevitable but in the long run, well worth the fresh look it gave my house.

If you are thinking about any kind of window treatment and you live in the Austin area, start here! It took three months, start to finish, to get new treatments installed on every window in our 1700 square foot house. Justin patiently walked through options with us, consulted on colors, went through samples to get us the right order for every room, and then came back and installed everything when it came in. We had some minor trouble with the back door, and Justin reordered the blind, came back out, and reinstalled it for us. I think this is the best experience we've had with any home update so far.

Such value for my $$$! But perhaps most important to me is the quality of the materials they use. Beautiful, durable screen with warranty. Thick aluminum frames (much meatier than my neighbors), and they didn't just screw them into my windows. They use metal clamps to secure the frames, not plastic like others I've seen fail in the Texas sun. My screens really have an affect on the temperature inside my house. But I can easily clean my windows by just twisting the clamps and removing the screens. Shop around, find out what materials and securing solutions others use, then come here. After interviewing River City Windows and meeting with Jim, we decided to go with his family-owned business! Jim brought samples, explained the difference in the shades (light-filtering or room-darkening), and offered advice for each set of windows. Truly professional installation (dedicated crew, no third party subcontractors) with cleanup! They then showed us in detail how to operate the controllers and the phone app. The photos below show light-filtering shades in the living and dining rooms, and blackout shades in the master bedroom. With the blackout shades, they install tracks to seal out all light! It's incredible! Highly recommend!
