While I was originally resistant to upgrade to permanent lighting as I didn't love the aesthetics of the other vendors, when we found this company, I changed my mind due to the dramatically larger bulb size. I love that we can change the colors to match game night (Cowboys, Spurs, etc) beyond just holidays. We're really impressed with the lights. We experienced some isolated install issues and delays which resulted in an extra long install. His music collection was absolutely amazing and he was able to not only play all requests, but play them quickly. We had a pretty big light show (at the party, not the bike races), but he said what we had was less than half of his lights. He doesn't talk much, except for announcements (like cake cutting) and doesn't do the annoying thing a lot of DJs do by calling everything "traditional." ("Traditional cutting of the cake"; "traditional first dance"; "traditional father daughter dance"; etc.) When I first used him he was based out of Lufkin, but now he's out of Tyler. He claims to cover all of East Texas -- given that he played that wedding in Houston, he certainly gets around.

As we cruised around the store, we noticed a line of computers/desks along the left wall of the store - completely empty. No associates. Later, as we moved toward the ceiling fans, one associate appeared behind the desk Up the ramp to the ceiling fan section and across the store sat another check out counter with computers. We looked at several different ceiling fans - scanning QR codes, discussing sizing, etc. As we continued shopping, we couldn't help notice the two associates near the counter who seemed happier chatting amongst themselves than selling merchandise. We were in the store a MINIMUM of 15 minutes - looking, scanning, discussing, and NOT ONE team member approached us. No wonder they feel the need to have so many cameras - they have no associates who care! It wasn't a total loss, though, we shared a few chuckles taking bets on prices before scanning the QR codes. Their stuff is ridiculously over-priced.
