Man... the way that I wish I had read these reviews. Their website must just be full of fake ones and I trusted that, not knowing any better. TL;DR- They ruined our hardwood floors and refused to fix it. I booked this company to clean my hand-scraped, dark hardwood floors (1000 sqft). There is a bit of a cloudiness about the floors and we suspect there's a buildup of cleaner or something. We were assured it would be no problem to get that up. We were given a time of 8-9AM and Tim showed up around 9:15. Without a confirmation call or anything, we were beginning to question wether they were going to show up but glad he finally did. Tim did the job and the floors seriously looked terrible - much, much worse than before he began. My husband ran his foot across them and there was a really bad cloudy film covering the floor that was removed by his sock so he asked Tim about it. Tim went back over one area and then left while it was still drying so we couldn't tell if it worked or not. It definitely did not. The floors looked absolutely awful - streaky, cloudy, scratched in some places, even had Tim's footprints throughout - it was just a mess. I called the company immediately and spoke with Kathy. She wanted to help but wanted to speak with her boss and Tim first. She called me back the following Monday to discuss again and I reiterated our experience as she seemed to have forgotten. She kept telling me their formula would never leave a film and again said she would call back. She didn't so I followed up a few days later. At that time, she scheduled another appointment for the company to come out and try to clean the floors again. Mind you, this entire time we've had our furniture from our entire house shoved in our bedrooms as 1000 sqft of our home is hardwood, affected by this job and at this point, it's been over a week since Tim came out. The day after we booked the second appointment, Kathy called back and told me that actually, they aren't coming out because they don't think they can fix the problem. She offered me a VERY small refund and I just felt bad because she's in the middle of this awkward situation - it's obviously not her fault and she doesn't have the authority to make any decisions without her boss. The manager should be the one calling and taking care of this - not Kathy. Do not hire this company for your hardwood floors. They will just ruin them for $500. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid Aladdin. Service person was 15 minutes late with no courtesy phone call to let us know. When I called the office to check the status the phone rang and rang. I finally got a call as he pulled up. He made a lame excuse that he was stuck in traffic. Then informed me that they didn't move bedroom furniture after I was told on the phone that they would move all the furniture for us. I cancelled the order then and there. And proceeded to call the office and spoke to the person I made the appt with. She seemed surprised when I reminded her she told me that they moved the furniture for us. She said "we never move bedroom furniture because of the liability." I said she should have been explicit with that instruction and reminded her she never asked which rooms I wanted cleaned. Terrible experience, terrible service, terrible company. Showed up over a half hour late (and we were the first appointment of the day), no phone call, and no apology. He then told us as he's a team of 1, he won't move any furniture. The office had told us all furniture would be moved, which we were surprised about, but took them at their word. When we called office they said oh, its a bedroom, we don't move bedroom furniture. Awesome! What a complete waste of time! No effort to apologize or make it right. After purchasing a condo where owner had two cats, we began checking carpeting cleaning companies for removal of cat odor on/in the carpeting, cleaning, and sanitizing the carpeting. Because of reviews, called Aladdin Chem Dry, 10774 Trenton Avenue. Talked to a Kathy about removing cat odors and cleaning the carpeting, or whether it would be better to just tear out all the carpeting. She offered to have technicians come for free. Said they would check with an ultra violet light and would honestly tell us whether cat odor could be removed and carpeting cleaned of if we should tear it out. I insisted we pay for testing the carpeting. Rick and his associate came at the appointed time, checked the carpeting said that he had done much worse jobs than ours and it would not be a problem to remove the cat odor, clean, deodorize, sanitize the carpeting. There was only one black spot on the carpeting in the family room he wouldn't be able to remove. Because of getting delivery of new cabinets, we wanted the cat odor gone before delivery. We asked if Rick could clean the carpeting while he was there. They immediately went about getting their equipment in and said it wouldn't take that long. There were consistent equipment failures, but they finished the job. Rick said all cat odor would be gone in 1 1/2 to 2 days and the only spot they couldn't remove was the one he had mentioned in the family room. After a week plus, the cat odor was there as strong as ever and the dirt on edges in almost every room was very visible. Called Kathy back immediately and explained the situation. She suggested they come back but we told her the cabinets had already been delivered and they would need to wait until the kitchen was finished. She said that would not be problem. Several weeks went by as some cabinets needed to be back ordered. We wrote Kathy and explained that we were requesting a refund of the $685.95 that we had paid since the odor was as strong as ever and the black dirt was still there. Received an email back from a Christ Makos (who we did not know and had never dealt with before). He said he was being very generous since it was over a month since the job was finished but they would come back at no charge and re-treat the carpeting. Told him that we had called within a week and told Kathy about it. After much back and forth about refunding our $685.95, he then went into a long explanation stating that there are no guarantees that the odor could be removed, that the carpeting and pad probably would need to be removed and the floor sealed to get rid of the odor. He also went into another long explanation about why the dark dirt was there and that it was virtually impossible to remove. OUR WHOLE POINT IN HAVING THEM COME TO CHECK THE CARPETING FIRST WAS TO ASCERTAIN IF IT COULD BE CLEANED, DEODORIZED, SANITIZED AND THE CAT ODOR WOULD BE GONE OR IF WE NEEDED TO TEAR IT ALL OUT. RICK, HIS TECHNICIAN SAID IT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM, THE CAT ODOR WOULD BE GONE, THE CARPET CLEAN AND WOULD BE LIKE NEW. Now, after all Mr. Makos's explanations (whoever he is) about why we will probably need to tear the carpeting out, he wants to come back and re-treat it rather than give us our money back. JUST GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK AND HONOR WHAT YOUR TECHNICIAN AND KATHY SAID. THE VERY FIRST TIME WE TALKED TO KATHY AND RICK, IF WE HAD BEEN TOLD EVERYTHING MR. MAKOS MENTIONED IN HIS JUNE 7 EMAIL TO US WE NEVER WOULD HAVE GONE FORWARD AND SPENT $685.95 FOR NOTHING. JUST REFUND THE MONEY AND EITHER PROPERLY TRAIN YOUR TECHNICIANS, ETC., OR TEACH THEM NOT TO PREVARICATE ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF. We have since found out, according to a complaint filed with the BBB that as of September 27, 2017, the company now has a new owner. read more

They have a professional staff and are quick and efficient. The carpets look great afterwards. We have used them before and will continue to do so. Lots of pet stains on my carpets (more than I knew about). Treatment for the same was not cheap, but I'm happy that most of the stains came out. Wear and tear on carpets came out nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. read more

Do NOT do the Urine Extraction- it DOES NOT work. And they charge you basically double the regular cleaning. I used a black light after it had had dried (took DAYS) and all the stains were STILL there. The owner credited $80 out of a $556 bill (for $1000 sq ft, stairs and an 8x10 rug) and sent the guys back the next week and they did a truck extraction cleaning (steam cleaning I guess), which was nice, but after it finally dried, not only were most of the urine stains still there, but there is a residual odor (still!) in the carpet. Also, I noticed the dog sniffing an area, so I did the sniff test (eww) on at least one urine spot and I could smell urine. (my carpet is only 3 years old and my dog weighs 4 pounds) I'm going with the traditional Steam Cleaning next time. read more

Thorough and professional. Easy to work with....even added a couple of things while they were here and it was no problem.

They were very prompt and professional. Their process removed all of the terrible stains on our old furniture.

The carpet cleaning is ok but the service personnel are not professional. They don't wear any cover for the shoe while entering the house or during and after the cleaning. They walk back and forth to their van multiple times and they don't wear any cover to their shoes. Even after cleaning the carpet (when carpet is still wet)one guy will drape it with small tool walking all over the carpet with no cover to the shoes. Chem-dry please note, people get their carpet cleaned and it does not help if your staff walks on it with no covers to their shoes. Also, the staff who came to my house blew couple of cord plugs when they plugged in their equipment. There was a spark and sound and they just used other plug to get their work done and did not even have the courtesy to tell me. i figured out after they left. read more

I give them an F. DO NOT USE THEM! They did a poor job, not removing any stains. They want to sell you things you don't need just to make money. After complaining, they sent another guy, who agreed that the carpet was not cleaned the first time around. He had to redo the entire area! He removed the stains, but also told me the guys who came previously were lazy and sold me a product I didn't need. I called to ask for a refund for this product, only to be hung up on and ignored. Fast and efficient. Love the fact of carpet not being wet for hours on end with steam cleaning. Also like the difference in the look of the carpets compared to other so called famous names in carpet cleaning. Carbon Monoxide warning!!!! Be very careful when using this company to have your carpets cleaned. I chose the method that used their truck to power the cleaning equipment. They pulled the truck up to my garage and left it running. The door to the house was left open to allow the hoses through. After about an hour, I was smelling exhaust and getting a headache. A little while later my carbon monoxide detectors went off indicating presence of carbon monoxide. It took 30 minutes of open windows and fans going to finally clear the carbon monoxide enough so that the alarms turned off. When I called the office to tell them what happened, they were rude and defensive and said that their truck wasn't the cause. I have lived in my house 10 years and the carbon monoxide detectors have never alarmed, until they left their truck running for several hours close to my garage with the door open. Be very careful. BTW the carpet cleaning results were fair. read more

Bait and switch. Aladdin cleaned my carpets last year and did a fine job. Last week I received a sales call from them referring back to my cleaning last year. I was told they had a 3-room special going on to have the same areas cleaned as last year - Living room, dining room, two short hallways, and 12 stairs. I scheduled a time for them to come and clean my carpets. When the cleaner arrived, he checked the areas and gave me the estimate to sign. The estimate was for 50% more than the price I was quoted during the sales call. He explained that the living room, dining room, and two hallways would be done for the quoted price but the stairs would be extra. I explained what I had been told on the telephone; he said there is always an extra charge for stairs. He called the office to check on the situation and came back and told me that he was correct. I then called the office, explained what I had been told the previous week and was told that I was given incorrect information. The person even referred back to my invoice from last year. She said that the price had gone up on stairs and that if I was told it would be covered for the special price the sales person was incorrect. She said she could offer me a discount on the stairs though. I refused the offer as I felt it was a form of bait and switch. After they left, I called another company and was given an estimate (Which included all the areas that I had done last year) of $5 more than Aladdin's special that I was originally offered... And they were able to come the next morning. read more
