I'm all about mom and pop shops!!
Found this one month old spot via door dash today. Go figured! I have family here but we are very traditional Italian families. Everything is always handmade/ homemade. Also not very adventurous with cuisines when we do eat out!
I'm on the other hand.. loves trying all new things at all times. I get so deathly bored with the same things. Thank you, DoorDash! But it was too far for delivery so I did a pickup. Finding this place was half the battle.
It's a grocery store plus a kitchen counter in the back. Imad ( hope I'm spelling this right) the chef is super nice. He's from Syria. His cute little son.. went to the front of the store to grab a bag of lettuce for him to make my salad. His wife and daughters said hi. So cute!
I watched him pull out delicious whole chicken rotisserie! Looks yummm!
Food! It was fresh, homemade ( one man making it all) and packed so well. I got the shawarma wraps for my family and the need kabob plate for myself. I didn't realize but it came with rice, salad and a delicious yogurt and soft pita. Yummm! I enjoyed my plate!!!
The fatoosh salad he made in front of me ( added later) was massive. But a little too much balsamic for my taste. Still fresh though.
And the grocery store! They have halal meat, tons of oil, condiments, desserts! A lot of fresh produce. The person at front was super nice too. I saw what look like my favorite Italian sweets: Torrone. It's like a soft pistachio nouget ( usually for Christmas). They had similar but sells by the pound!
The guy at the front gave me one! Yummm. It was good. Everyone in here is so nice!! Like extra nice. I hope the 1 month old restaurant do super duper well! Gotta support mom and pops. Especially as diverse and tasty as this one. Yumm Yumm for sure. Thanks for super sweet service too. read more
