Stopped in here on my way back to RI to get some supplies before a long brewing weekend with…read morefriends. Good selection of brewing supplies, but the prices are kind of high, especially the carboys. $50 for a 6 gallon carboy? Thats $10 too much. But make sure to double-check any info the owner gives you. I pointed out the bottle filler I had at home and asked for tubing that would fit it and the tubing he gave me totally didn't fit, not even close. Long story short, bottling my beers was a messy, awful affair. When I emailed him to complain he just gave me the runaround and said it was somehow my fault. A simple "oops, sorry", was all I wanted. And the "beer exchange fridge" is kind of odd. You give him two beers and only get to take one since the owner wants to drink one of yours in order to make sure it is worthy of staying in the fridge. I would rather give two different beers, then take two different beers and take my chances that at least one will be good. Overall though, a pretty good homebrew store. Good selection of grain, hops yeast and equipment. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

The regular brew day sessions and swap fridge are fun and enhance the local brew community. Wide selection and full service make craft brews a must shop for any southern ri brewer (of beer, wine, mead, or almost anything else).

A little review. I headed out to Beer & Wine Hobby in Woburn expecting inflated prices and dude…read morebros talking over me in the hopes of buying a few packs of yeast. I was pleasantly surprised and way overspent my budget Prices are cheaper than Amazon on many things and only SLIGHTLY higher on other items. I could have gotten my mini auto siphon for the same price. Bottle wands are the same price. Bungs are a little over $1 each and airlocks are $1.50, so cheaper than Amazon unless buying in bulk. In fact everything is pretty close to Amazon, and in the case of glassware- cheaper. (and safer.) The 1gal jars I use for kombucha are under $7 each. Making a case $28. I paid $20 on Amazon for 2 booch jars. Glass 1gal carboys are also just under $7. You have to buy a growler cap for them separately. Or just get a universal bung. They have cheesemaking supplies, kombucha and kefir cultures plus all the right parts for getting those things fermenting right. I might've found my new favorite place.

My novice beer making setup kind of died (my fault in storage) so when I feel upon a deal that would give me a little reminder class and a whole new setup I jumped at it. YAY! Still, there's a place by me that blows this place out of the water when it comes to supplies, so, you know, there's that.

I am not a fan of the strawberry ones because they taste too medicinal to me. They def have gotten creative with their flavors -- peach guava, strawberry kiwi, blueberry cobbler. I prefer the Original Blend TBH. Service was fast and friendly. It's cool enjoy the ciders amongst the cans that are getting ready to be filled. Afterwards, we went outside to enjoy a full pour at the pop-up. I got a OB with a tajin rim -- soo good. They have lots of sturdy benches with umbrellas. For food, they have a local hotdog vendor and he seemed pretty popular. When nature calls, you have to use a porta potty but they aren't too bad.

And the "strictly business" approach was actually perfect for a hastily planned Greatest Hits Tour that included Belle Isle Marsh and Kelly's. I skipped the flagship version since that's widely available. As a FOMO sufferer I had to dig into the limited-time strawberry dragonfruit and cranberry cobbler. These were outstanding sweet concoctions. I revisited the excellent apple pie. To balance out the sugar and pretend I'm sophisticated I also opted for a Drier Side.
