I have to say, the pancakes were a bit on the dry side though. Also, the eggs were sunny side up but didn't actually seem fried at all, as they were super soft without any crispiness. In addition, they didn't even add the slightest amount of seasoning on there - at least a few pepper flakes would have been nice (although there was pepper on the table, but still). The homestyle fries were well-cooked with a good crispiness though. The restaurant has a lower level with some seating as well as a larger upper level. It has a sort of old-timey kind of vibe, with wood panels along the walls and ceiling and a little performance stage in the back. It is conveniently located right next to the Canary Wharf tube station. My waitress was average friendliness and was only moderately attentive, as she never checked up on me during my meal. She also waited until I actually got my food to bring me my water. Overall, The Breakfast Club is a solid option for breakfast/brunch in Canary Wharf with pretty much any of the classics that you could want.

Bonus points if you have short and tall (long?) stacks. And double-bonus if you print "flapjack" on the menu. Enough about the pancakes (my wife is saying). She doesn't even like breakfast so don't listen to her (she'd skip if I weren't always dragging her out somewhere for it). Her loss. But just one more pancake point: I got the blueberry short stack. It wasn't epic but it was a solid +6-7. That works, given my earlier frou-frou comments. I couldn't tell and maybe the maple syrup was imported from Canada (eh), but we are spoilt with our Vermont supply. So no points gained/lost there. I didn't get any baked beans (yes because this was breakfast), but my bacon was tasty as were my two Americanos (aka coffees). If I had for some reason wanted pre-noon beans...I'm sure they would have been lovely, along with all the other varied menu choices I didn't have room to sample. Goodman's was the highest rated in our area for steakhouses so we gave it a try. The prices aren't cheap but are comparable to steakhouses back in the states. The manager stopped by our table to apologize for the delay in our order (honestly we didn't even notice). Shortly after her apology our food arrived and exactly how we ordered - medium rare. Nothing is worse than a steak that is over prepared to your liking. They served the steaks with 3 sauces- bernaise, pepper sauce, and bbq flavored sauce. The sauces were ok in flavor but I feel steak is best eaten with butter & salt and as minimal sauce as possible to enjoy the steak. A good steak doesn't require any sauce in my opinion. Although the steak was prepared to our liking - always a plus when dining out - what stood out the most was the service. Isabella (Zabella) was a fabulous server. She was accommodating and offered several choices. A few of the steaks we attempted to order were sold out and she offered alternatives which is always better than "sorry we're out". She was a lovely Italian who gave us friendly service in addition to travel advice to her home country. On top of the great service, the manager once again stopped by and offered us dessert and a drink as an apology for the delay in our food service. We definitely didn't expect this but happy to oblige when she offered. Price is always an important factor when choosing a restaurant, but service almost always supersedes that (within reason of course). When you have great food AND great service that's a 5 Star in my opinion! The staff was fantastic -- they accommodated two additional friends who joined us at the last minute and timed everything perfectly so we made it to the theater on time. The amount of time my food took to arrive was just enough to convince me that the wings were cooked fresh and, indeed, they tasted that way. Crispy, saucy goodness. While I wish they had a spicier "Buffalo" option, these are hands-down the best Buffalo-style wings I have had outside of New York. My ONLY complaint is that the sauce is a little off. Tastes a tad buttery for a traditional Buffalo "medium", but other than that, the wings were perfect. Cost was reasonable, too, and service was friendly. I lived in Buffalo, New York for 8 years, surrounded by the best wing joints in the world. StickyWings is the real deal. These wings are damn good and, frankly, they could teach a lot of places in America how to do them right.
