While shopping in Capri we stumbled upon Al Capri. Oh my god I am so glad we did. I have incredibly high standards for my food, my Italian food especially, I had the raviolis at Al Capri and I can confidently say these were the BEST raviolis I have had in my entire life. I truly dream about these raviolis and would recommend them to anyone visiting Capri. Everything else we had was phenomenal as well. Service was great and the views from the resturant are stunning. I have no idea why this place has any 1-star reviews! The views are incredible, and the staff is genuinely warm and attentive. We came back on our second night, and to our surprise, a different waiter immediately knew the exact wine I had been trying to remember from the night before, such a nice touch! We sampled a bit of everything on the menu (except the pizza, which I'm sure is just as amazing). In the evening, there's live music and the ambiance is incredibly inviting and relaxed. Happened upon this delightful spot while meandering the streets of Capri....great ambiance with striking views out to the sea....Service was impeccable with Mr. Mauritzio as our table host....it was a very busy lunch service and he managed our table care with consulate skill....the food was amazing....fresh, plated expertly, and every bite delicious. This is another restaurant that boasts an amazing view. Sitting at our table overlooking the Grand Marina on the isle of Capri was the highlight of this meal. Hubby and I arrived on a cold, wet afternoon and were allowed to sit where we wanted, as it was still early, so naturally, we chose the best table by the window. We ordered the house red, which was really nice, but very overpriced (as is everything on Capri). We shared the grilled veggies, which we love here in Italy, then hubby had pizza with anchovies, and I had the ravioli. Everything tasted fine, but nothing was outstanding. The pizza was a little greasy, and even the bread was slightly stale. The service was excellent and our waiter was very friendly. It's worth the visit here, if nothing else, for the views. Okay, first off, the view is insane! Stunning lookout, and when you're on capri, it's just part of the experience to get that great view in. We ordered pizzas for the table and both kinds that we got were delicious. It was actually one of my favorites of the trip. The waiters were good, some more friendly than others, but it did not bother us. Pricing may have been a tad higher but honestly we didn't think it was bad, and the ambiance was totally worth it. When you get to Capri. Take the tram up hill and find Al Capri on the main drag. Not only do you have the best views of the Island, you get the best food as well. Don't expect quick service or amazing customer service. What you expect is to relax, eat slowly, take in the views, enjoy yourself and never feel rushed. In most cases, you'll have couple of servers helping you. We ordered... Caprese salad Spaghetti with zucchini Pasta with spinach Caffe latte Almond lemon cake Italian beer Everything was delicious but that cake had to be the best dessert I ever had! Do not miss this dining experience. Dulipa was our waiter and was perfection. We had the Prussian Steak for two. The meal was spectacular and was the service. We ended up here because another restaurant (something 52) refused to honor our reservation and I'm so glad that happened. The view is as great as the food and service. GO HERE ON PURPOSE! This little restaurant sits atop Via Roma overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Mt. Vesuvius. The interior honestly feels like you're somewhere in Santori given the blue and white décor but no, you're in Capri just steps away from the piazzetta! Passing it by, we took advantage of how quiet it was and were seated by the open windows. This place is exactly what you need if you want something simple and a little romantic: breathtaking views of the sunset over the water, food that although isn't terribly outstanding still hits the spot and has decent prices. We were seated right away and given water, menus and plenty of time to decide on our order. I chose linguini with fresh clams while le boyfriend chose pizza and both of us picked Aperol Spritzers. The linguini was fresh and I truly enjoyed it, especially since the presentation was fun coming out in a pan! However the pizza was just average. We were fairly hungry so if you are very hungry as well either be prepared to order more than one entrée or find another place to eat. As time went by, a pianist came into the restaurant and played the once lonely piano. There was signage not to take photos and honestly that was a nice move as it really forces patrons to just listen, enjoy and be present with the music and one another. Over all, I knew this was likely a restaurant for tourists but regardless of who we ate with that night this venue is popular. The location is excellent as it isn't in a busy area and away from the chaos of the boating docks. By the way, unlike other reviews, our bill was accurate and we were never overcharged though I do believe we paid a service fee. When we come back to Capri, I think we will opt for a new restaurant but for those who are exhausted from traveling or want to dine in a quieter area this is a solid place to dine. read more

I have been in the Amalfi coast for a little while and I'm use to paying high prices for food however the food really is the most avaerage of average. I'm pretty sure my 4 year old neice could do a better chicken salad then these guys. They also add 15% gratuity which I find really just shows a place is a tourist trap. The view is very nice and the staff were kind, however I will not be returning for another 60 euro average salad lunch. Tourist TRAP- GO AWAY!!!!! Our family traveled to Carpi for the first time. The waiter recommended an off menu desert (mixed of ice cream and fruit) at 15 euros to avoid high prices of a la carte. They ended up charged us for 40 euros for ONE dessert due to "miscommunication." The fact that the other waiter intervened and said it should be 30 euros. You could tell they lie to you. We came here just for a coffee at the bar because it was raining cats and dogs outside. It's conveniently located close to the bus stop closest to the centre. Barista Tiziana was super friendly and very welcoming. The espresso was good, price was fair. There were not many people eating but the food looked good. The view is to recommend even on rainy days as you're protected from the wind and rain but have a view of Marina Grande through the big glass windows.
