I didn't expect to have dinner in Verona during our trip but we did after we got to see Juliet's balcony. Al Bracere is a little restaurant that has plenty of room for large groups. This was our last included dinner on our Contiki tour. I remember that the decor looked like someone's living room with lots of interesting items strewn about. There was no theme but after a long day, I didn't care too much.
We were served a plate of cheeses with balsamic glaze as a starter. The house wine we opted to buy a bottle of and split it at our table. It was pretty affordable at 9 euro split between 3 people. Our entree plate had salad, gnocchi in a tomato sauce, and baked chicken. It was ok but definitely a change to all the pasta and pizza we had been eating. The dessert was fantastic. It was pastry with cream and berry compote. As always, our service was spot on and they have clean restrooms for customers. After a long day of sightseeing, this was a welcome dinner before heading to our hotel. read more
