We wanted to get Lebanese food for our last meal in Switzerland (trying to go for cheap eat again). Yelped this area and saw Parfums de Beyrouth. So we decided to head in its direction. Along the street, there were a couple more Lebanese restaurants and we stumbled across this one. The waiter came out and served us free falafel, and the place looked quite empty. We saw that they had a dish that served real chicken cubes for dishes instead of just the slices gyro style "fake meat" that was served at Parfums de Beyrouth, so we decided to try it out.
The server was VERY friendly and accommodating. We could replace fries/ hummus with rice for our dishes, and the portion was generous for CHF 17.
My sister and I shared the assiette chawarma agneau- lamb platter) , and the others has assiette chawarma poulet, couscous with lamb, and kebe.
The assiette chawarma agneau was ok. The lamb wasn't real lamb chunks and was tasty but dry. The assiette chawarma poulet was definitely the star dish of the night. The chicken was done very very well- great grill flavor, tender and moist with great seasoning, I wished I had ordered that instead. The couscous was good and typical of a well done dish with tons of vege, delicious gravy and good chunks of lamb in it, my husband couldn't finish it up. The Kebe was good, served with hummus at the base and wasn't over fried. We also got the mint tea that was delicious but was a little overpriced- CHF 5 for a pot.
Once we started eating, the restaurant then filled up with customers and was packed. Retrospectively, I am glad we chose this place over Parfums de Beyrouth. read more
