The ladies that work at Lake Medical Imaging (Brownwood location) where extremely attentive to my mother as they got her ready for her CT scan. For the first time ever ... I tell him please fix me. His first call is to his nurse who is home cooking dinner " Shut the stove off we got a guy here who needs our help. Next to his kids who will have to feed themselves, etc. I am in the OR at 7:30, done by 8:30 bleeding stopped, 3 aneurysm in my Quad plugged, no pain, this guy is my hero for life. I was called in within 15 minutes and she, Christine took about 10 X-rays for both of my knees. Very efficient, pleasant and professional. She remarked she had 16 years experience doing imaging. A side note: I had called a couple of other locations the afternoon before and was told at one, they would not take my Medicare if I was not with a local physician. My physician is affiliated with AHC. Strange... Another location said that because I was not with one of their network physicians, they would not bill my insurance and I would be charged $120 each. I can easily recommend the AdventHealth Imaging facility in Tavares based on my personal experience.

After being taken to a back room, a woman entered and stated she was there to take information. She…read morethen informed me she would be inserting an IV and performing a test before administering contrast dye. When she inserted the IV, she was unable to get it to work. Instead of removing and restarting properly, she repeatedly moved the needle in and out of my vein. This was uncomfortable and concerning. Eventually, she removed the IV and wrapped my arm. She called for another woman to assist, but when that person was unavailable, a man nearby stated he could help. She agreed and left the room. The second staff member applied the tourniquet extremely tightly. I told him it was very tight. When he inserted the IV needle, I immediately told him it was very painful and that something did not feel right. Despite this, he continued. When he attempted to inject fluid, it infiltrated into my arm rather than into the vein, and the area around the site visibly swelled. Only then did he remove the needle. I have never had difficulty with IV placement or blood draws in the past, including blood work done just two weeks prior without issue. This experience was painful, distressing, and felt improperly handled. I am especially concerned that my repeated statements about pain and discomfort were not taken seriously.

I had to walk about four blocks, which is not terrible, unless you are me and having foot xrays. Bone spurs, yay, but anyway, if you can schedule your appt during nonpeak hours, I highly recommend Clermont Radiology. Actually going to try to schedule my next appointment right now and aim for the sweet spot of very first thing in the a.m.!

I am extremely disappointed with Clermont Radiology (CR). I learned about them through my…read moreinsurance. My insurance listed CR as a cheaper alternative to local hospital radiology services. Nonetheless, the $15 or $20 that you save is not worth it. They are completely disorganized; they will schedule with you and cancel at the last minute; their staff is ill trained; their pre-exam questionnaire is very burdensome; I think I'll stop there, otherwise I'll never finish. My strong recommendation to anybody is to steer away from them. Go somewhere else. Try AdventHealth or Orlando health, even if they charge a little more on co-pays.

This was after being transferred to someone to see if my insurance was accepted and then back to scheduling who said, "oh ya, we accept your insurance!" Was advised to call back in one hour. I called back 90 minutes later and they took my information and wanted to know if was with or without contrast. I had to hang up and call doctor's office. I called back and they said they still didn't have a referral so I couldn't schedule an appointment. Scheduling department is atrocious. I would rather go to Alaska to get imaging done.
