I visited Dr. Huntt because I hurt my right shoulder practicing overhead squats with a barbell at…read morethe gym. As soon as I finished, the pain began. This happened once before, but the pain was much less severe. After my visit, I found out that the treatment I was given was not the best. First, the nurse took an X-Ray. I was advised that due to the way my pain began, there was little likelihood that the X-Ray would show the cause of my pain, and it exposed me to unnecessary radiation. Next, after a brief exam, Dr. Huntt said, "I will get you a cortisone shot, that's what you're here for." I told him that was not the case. I just wanted to find out the cause of my shoulder pain. I was worried it could be a problem with my rotator cuff. I had taken no medication for it, as it only hurt when I raised my arm a certain way. I asked him if a cortisone shot was the prescribed treatment for my condition, and he said yes. So, I let him administer the shot. I later found out, that it was overkill, and that a trial of less potent medicine, such as an over the counter drug Aleve, may have been a better way to go. I did not realize how strong the cortisone shot was, nor did I know that it was harmful to me due to my medical history (which he had) of hypothyroidism (for which I am on medication). I had no idea that a cortisone injection would be recommended by the doctor, so I never looked into it in advance. Too late now for me.

I saw Dr. Dersch at his office in Oxford, FL. Dr. Mark Dersch is a wonderful urologist and an…read moreexcellent surgeon. He was able to remove several kidney stones from my right kidney, including one rather large one, while I was under anesthesia. The surgery only left a small scar on the right side of my back. He sent me home with enough medication to get me through the healing process with very little pain. He also went out of his way to try different medications to ease the spasms from the stent he left in my kidney. Leaving the stent was his way of protecting my ureter from an enlarged uterus pressing on it, and also to make it easier for the gynecologist to see it when he performed my hysterectomy. I still have kidney stones in my left kidney, which he said we will discuss options for in the next month or so. I trust Dr. Dersch completely and know he has my best interest at heart (that's not something many can say about their doctor). I would never want to go to another urologist. He is very kind, understanding, and patient. He explains procedures to my daughter and I in words that are very easy to understand, answers any questions we ask, and makes us feel safe and at ease. He also has kind eyes, a sweet smile, and treats his patients with respect. I highly recommend him.

Finally called back for ultrasound . Done ! then the doctor was "reading a study " couldn't be disturbed , what tech said. They would call me. Waited to next day no call so I called them , tech originally thought and MARKED on sheet "additional imaging needed" . Firstly , I'd like to say RUDE RUDE RUDE who ever answered the phone ! "We don't typically give results they are sent to Doctor" Yes, I know but NOT what I was told by Tech . So which is it ? Doctor says Mamogram in 1 year ? Well if he bothered to actually look I'm due for a mammogram in 7 months NOT one year even if nothing was found couldn't be bothered to actually look at my chart to see that tid bit of information? Confidence gone !

I met Dr Hann in the winter of 2023. I had trauma to my hand that resulted in Dr Hann saving my…read morering finger and my little finger. I had subsequent surgeries to help with scar tissue that occurred, all the way up to the most recent, in May 2025. I called Dr Hanns' office about the possibility of an infection. His answering service contacted him, and he texted me, asking for pictures. We tried multiple ways to send pictures through SMS, but had to use email instead. After he looked at the pictures, he said yes, that needed to go to the hospital.. That is something I expected. What I didn't expect was that Dr. Han was out of the country on vacation. And here he was texting me back and forth while he was on vacation. He did tell me that he would be back in the US at the end of the day on Monday and would see me. Dr Hann has always been very professional. He's been very upfront about the pros and cons of what he was doing. He's been upfront about the potential for success and minimal improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Hann; his office staff is terrific, and I highly recommend them. Always helpful and accommodating if I had to change an appointment. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Hann for any type of hand surgery you may need.
