I did not appreciate the requirement to wear a life jacket in shallow water to snorkel with the turtles. The amount of people in the snorkeling areas was way too much. People were kicking up sand, flailing in the water and pushing people (me) to get in front of where any turtles were. It was extremely disappointing. The only reasons I got any photos was because I have a GoPro on a stick. I would NOT do the turtle thing again. I would however go scuba diving. That seemed like they took out small groups on small boats so it wouldn't be overcrowded.

Dive sites are super close, equipment was quality, and we saw tons of turtles, nurse sharks, some cool eels, grouper, squid, etc. We dove with Quito and he was awesome! He was very responsive to my many emails and provided for us a great experience and hooked us up with one of the best dive masters I've had the pleasure of diving with, Mauro! Four of us dove and on the OW dive, I was recovering from a night of "revenge", and couldn't make it to the 2nd tank. One of my crewmates was new to diving and Mauro was so extremely patient, helping her with her bouyancy and breathing. In the ocean, there wasn't much to see other than some really cool turtles, sad really. But the Dos Ojos dive was as Aramis promised, amazing! I wasn't planning on doing the caverns but I'm so glad we did. If you're serious about ocean diving and seeing marine life, head to Cozumel. Much more to see there. Ask for Mauro :)

Never seen so much colour under the sea before, felt so privileged especially when an inquisitive turtle swam up to have a nosy at us. On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. My wife is not…read morea confident snorkeller but with help from Luis and Limbert she went out into quite a rough sea to see the turtles and then snorkelled over some deep water in the cenote/caves. We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.
