We had 107 mph winds with rain in Omaha NE that resulted in a leak in our kitchen. We had never…read morehad a leak before. We thought it came from a roof turbine so we called Thompson and Thompson because they have experience with wind turbines. Dan Evans came out and determined that perhaps we had a seal on a turbine that was leaking. So we replaced not one but 4 turbines at a cost of $1200. He assured us that after we replaced them we could repair our ceiling so we did. Subsequently after the repair of the ceiling we had an 87 mph wind With rain. We had water in the same spot and other additional spots this time. I'm 73 years old and I had never been in the attic before. But I crawled up there to see if I could find the problem. I was appalled at the condition of the insulation where we had the leak. It had been spread around so that it was 2-3 inches thick in some places and bare in others. It was apparent the leak had been looked for but the insulation had not been put back in place. Water did come in from the turbine. It was not excessive but it was enough to stain the ceiling. I found the original leak to be coming from the hot water vent. It was quite obvious. I had that repaired by a HVAC contractor for $400. And an insulation contractor fixed the insulation at a cost of $3000. This included extra insulation to make it correct throughput the attic. They may be good roofing contractors, but seem to know little about fixing leaks. It cost me at least $1200 I didn't need to spend.

It took us a bit of time to get everything in place to have the job done and they honored the original quote (even though it had an expiration date of late July). They did a great job protecting the workspace and replaced an electrical outlet that erroneously had some insulation sprayed into it. We are very happy with the outcome of the spray foam insulation - the spray foam provides a much better barrier than the standard fiberglass and Radiant is a good company to work with.

After I submitted a service request on Yelp, Juan contacted me almost immediately and had everything scheduled for the very next day. Sure enough, Jason came out today and was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. He completed the repair in no time and was very upfront and honest about the pricing. What made the experience even better was that I wasn't even able to be there in person however Jason still made the entire process seamless by keeping me updated throughout the whole process with messages, photos, and phone calls the whole time. We were basically able to handle the entire project virtually, and by the time I finally got home, everything was already completed perfectly. Other contractors were quoting ridiculous prices for such a small repair area, but Jason never once tried to upsell or take advantage of the situation. As a woman, I've unfortunately experienced contractors trying to overcharge or push unnecessary work before, so I really appreciated the honesty and transparency from ProGrade Exteriors. What impressed me even more was that they went above and beyond by helping fix a small issue near my front entryway simply because they noticed it needed attention. Thank you, ProGrade Exteriors, for your amazing service, professionalism, fair pricing, and INTEGRITY. One contractor came over on a Thursday and promised us a bid the following week, but over a week -- and several big rainstorms -- went by without any communication from him. When he learned that we hadn't, he sent David and a co-worker over to our house that very afternoon to assess the situation. David promised he could replace the skylight the following day -- a Saturday! -- at a very reasonable price. True to his word, David called Saturday morning to tell us that he and his crew would arrive as soon as the rain let up enough to allow them on the roof. They started about 10:00 and the job was done, professionally and neatly, in under two hours. These guy are terrific! Give them a try!
