I'm not someone who typically writes negative reviews -- I usually only leave positive ones -- but…read moreI feel this needs to be shared so others don't go through the same experience. I first contacted Affordable Massage Therapy (Tammy) on December 11 and over the next several weeks had multiple appointments scheduled, confirmed, and then canceled by her. Appointments were changed, rescheduled, or canceled at short notice due to scheduling mistakes, family emergencies, and illness. At one point, she stated she deletes all text messages, which made it difficult to keep any continuity in scheduling. In total, my appointment was canceled three separate times by the provider, including once just hours before a scheduled session. During this process, her rates also increased significantly compared to when I originally booked. After the last cancellation, I looked more closely at her reviews and noticed a consistent pattern in the one-star google reviews describing the same issues -- frequent cancellations and lack of reliability. While she does have positive reviews, it seems those experiences depend heavily on actually being able to keep an appointment. If reliability and respect for your time are important to you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For what it's worth, when my appointment was canceled yet again, I was able to book last-minute with Chris at Root Massage, who provided the best massage I've had in Anchorage. The difference in professionalism and consistency was night and day.

I would give a less than 1 if I could. I called Tammy and…read morethen she texted me she could fit me in next day. First said 2:40p, we started to set up the time. Then turns out she meant 1:40p. I couldn't do 1:40p so she suggests 4:15pm. I agree, she sends all the details. I showed up 10 minutes early as requested and go in. There is a lady who runs the massage space but no Tammy. She says Tammy just went in with a customer, during my scheduled time. I texted Tammy to ask what's up. She doesn't even apologize at first, just says "I meant 5:45p". I sent her screenshots of the messages she sent me and ask if she will give me a discount since I had to drive over and potentially have to come back later. She doesnt offer one and then just says she is booked up. I have no idea of her massage quality but I can tell you to expect your appointment to move multiple times and for Tammy not to really care. Also I just want to say that I am experiencing pretty extensive pain. And mistakes happen. But If you work in an industry that provides relief to people, it might be worth it to invest in some scheduling tools because you will have clients continuing to live in pain when you can't live up to your business responsibilities. All in all -10 stars, do not visit.

This has become an important part of my wellness routine, and I truly notice a difference. I have…read morechronic severe asthma, allergies, and immune system issues, and the IV vitamin infusions in particular have been incredibly supportive for me. I've built this into my annual budget and use my FSA account to cover one IV vitamin infusion a month, plus my subscription to the salt room, because I know it supports my body in a meaningful way. To use an FSA or HSA, you do need a letter of medical necessity from your doctor stating that additional vitamins are beneficial. In Alaska, this is usually pretty easy to obtain due to common vitamin D deficiency. I also recommend watching for their seasonal promotions, like the annual PFD sale, where you can get a Denali pack at a reduced price. Over time, this has become something I rely on--especially during flu and allergy seasons. I know I am more resilient, less run down, and I've had fewer sick days since staying consistent with it. Occasionally, I'll add an extra saline infusion (about $25) after the vitamin infusion for added hydration and a gentle reset. Overall, it's been a really supportive part of my health routine, and I'm glad I found it. Plus, they have snacks!

First time ever having an infusion. Brought my dad, too. Got upsold on more, which is fine. I said,…read more"Why not?" :-) So after spending hundreds of dollars on both of us, we left. Here is the odd part that I find disheartening: Not a single follow up call or text. Not even a "Do you want to schedule again?" I know the workers don't own the business, so they have little vested interest in return clients, but it was such a simple gesture that got missed. I am on their email list, which reminded me of them (and to write a review). But not a single other piece of personal communication beyond that email. Sadly, I felt no noticeable difference after the treatment. Maybe I needed a series of treatments. But that discussion never happened either.
