The place is in a strip mall and was clean, professional and comfortable-it's not an Upscale day spa and does not advertise itself as such. The massage was great. My massage therapist was knowledgeable, paid attention to feedback, utilized different techniques and gave a full 60 minutes. No complaints. $100 before tip-definitely worth it.

I only wait 140 pound I don't even look at chunky and I am quite skinny in fact, I just got heavy bones.. without asking they just use their feet for a massage even though I got a Thai massage which is supposed to conclude oil and stuff and my main concern was my legs which is my lower body my back to my legs and they only use 20 minute on focus on that even though they said that what's your main concern? After that they not only insisted on tip I already gave them $20 tip and they insisted for more I had to add another $25 to tip them and it was an old lady that insisted for more tip tip is optional. I am a customer. I'm giving the tip to how much I see that you're worth the tip and the service. I'll just say it was really bad. I had a bad experience. They did not focus on my main concerns and they Demand for a tip even though I was willing to give a $20 tip they demanded and insisted for more. I do not recommend this place at all. I only went to this place for experience because I saw that it's new opening and that I have pretty good reviews and people that I knew that went, but I don't know why when I go. It's such a bad experience for me and I just can tell you that I do not recommend this place at all my sister went as completely different service compared to us. They are completely biased and this is just not fair to customers for them to treat us differently and to demand for tips, even though I already give them a tip demanding for more it's just diabolical and very bad service

After a rough stretch the last several weeks between work and school, I needed to relieve the tension and stress of keeping up with the daily grind. This place is located in a small shopping center in front of the Wal-Mart off of Old Seward behind the Dimond Center Tower. They have a parking lot separate from Wal-Mart which is a plus considering how hectic the parking lot of Wal-Mart is throughout the day. I came in and was warmly greeted by a few employees behind the counter. I explained to them that I had a gift card to redeem for a massage. I was able to save $60.00 for a one-hour massage using the gift card. What an awesome deal in return for being a new dental client. The gift card of course doesn't include gratuity. The masseuse did a great job relieving the knots in my neck, shoulders, and lower back so I gave a $12.00 tip which is 20% of the $59.99 bill. They offered me a monthly membership at $69.99 per month, but in all honesty, this is one of those things to treat yourself once in a while while keeping an eye on your budget. For anyone interested, their massage deals go from $59.99 1-hour, $89.99 1 1/2-hours, and $119.99 2-hours for new clients. Types of massages include Trigger Point Therapy (massage that relieves tight areas within muscle tissue that causes chronic pain in other areas of the body), Swedish Massage (the best for relaxation and improving circulation in the body), Deep Tissue (releases muscle tension and provides deep pain relief from chronic overuse related to physical work), Sports Massage (improves flexibility and endurance, reduces recovery time after a workout at the gym, and is a necessity for anyone on a training regimen), and Cranial Sacral Therapy (my choice for relieving muscle tension, back and neck pain, and effective in alleviating headaches). Add-ons for enhanced sessions can be added with any massage starting at $10.00. This includes Aroma Therapy (oils extracted from herbs, flowers, or fruits), Deep Muscle Therapy (warming or cooling thermal treatments to provide deep muscle pain relief, decrease inflammation, and improve circulation), and Hot Stone Envy (the use of smooth, water-heated stones on the body to allow deeper relaxation of the muscles). A good, centralized location in a major retail area off of Dimond, friendly, helpful staff, and a good place to treat yourself if the pressures of work and school become too much and you just need to get away from it all for a little while.

I'm not someone who typically writes negative reviews -- I usually only leave positive ones -- but…read moreI feel this needs to be shared so others don't go through the same experience. I first contacted Affordable Massage Therapy (Tammy) on December 11 and over the next several weeks had multiple appointments scheduled, confirmed, and then canceled by her. Appointments were changed, rescheduled, or canceled at short notice due to scheduling mistakes, family emergencies, and illness. At one point, she stated she deletes all text messages, which made it difficult to keep any continuity in scheduling. In total, my appointment was canceled three separate times by the provider, including once just hours before a scheduled session. During this process, her rates also increased significantly compared to when I originally booked. After the last cancellation, I looked more closely at her reviews and noticed a consistent pattern in the one-star google reviews describing the same issues -- frequent cancellations and lack of reliability. While she does have positive reviews, it seems those experiences depend heavily on actually being able to keep an appointment. If reliability and respect for your time are important to you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For what it's worth, when my appointment was canceled yet again, I was able to book last-minute with Chris at Root Massage, who provided the best massage I've had in Anchorage. The difference in professionalism and consistency was night and day.

I would give a less than 1 if I could. I called Tammy and…read morethen she texted me she could fit me in next day. First said 2:40p, we started to set up the time. Then turns out she meant 1:40p. I couldn't do 1:40p so she suggests 4:15pm. I agree, she sends all the details. I showed up 10 minutes early as requested and go in. There is a lady who runs the massage space but no Tammy. She says Tammy just went in with a customer, during my scheduled time. I texted Tammy to ask what's up. She doesn't even apologize at first, just says "I meant 5:45p". I sent her screenshots of the messages she sent me and ask if she will give me a discount since I had to drive over and potentially have to come back later. She doesnt offer one and then just says she is booked up. I have no idea of her massage quality but I can tell you to expect your appointment to move multiple times and for Tammy not to really care. Also I just want to say that I am experiencing pretty extensive pain. And mistakes happen. But If you work in an industry that provides relief to people, it might be worth it to invest in some scheduling tools because you will have clients continuing to live in pain when you can't live up to your business responsibilities. All in all -10 stars, do not visit.

I have…read morechronic severe asthma, allergies, and immune system issues, and the IV vitamin infusions in particular have been incredibly supportive for me. I've built this into my annual budget and use my FSA account to cover one IV vitamin infusion a month, plus my subscription to the salt room, because I know it supports my body in a meaningful way. To use an FSA or HSA, you do need a letter of medical necessity from your doctor stating that additional vitamins are beneficial. In Alaska, this is usually pretty easy to obtain due to common vitamin D deficiency. I also recommend watching for their seasonal promotions, like the annual PFD sale, where you can get a Denali pack at a reduced price. Over time, this has become something I rely on--especially during flu and allergy seasons. I know I am more resilient, less run down, and I've had fewer sick days since staying consistent with it. Occasionally, I'll add an extra saline infusion (about $25) after the vitamin infusion for added hydration and a gentle reset. Overall, it's been a really supportive part of my health routine, and I'm glad I found it. Plus, they have snacks!

Here is the odd part that I find disheartening: Not a single follow up call or text. Not even a "Do you want to schedule again?" I know the workers don't own the business, so they have little vested interest in return clients, but it was such a simple gesture that got missed. I am on their email list, which reminded me of them (and to write a review). But not a single other piece of personal communication beyond that email. Sadly, I felt no noticeable difference after the treatment. Maybe I needed a series of treatments. But that discussion never happened either.
