Repeat customer; had lower level family room carpet replaced which included stairs. Liz was great…read moreto work with, guys that installed did okay job. My concern was that I had over 12 yards of carpet left over- according to Dave (Manager and person who measured), that was to be expected due to 'repeat design' and stairs couldn't be done any other way to piece together instead of cutting 3 feet of carpet for stairs off a 16 foot roll, leaving me with $400 of excess carpet which he states he could only sell as remnant for $75-100. Additionally, was to be 'free installation' which ended up costing me another $419 due to it being laid on concrete and 'repeat design', as well as separate charge for stairs. I would also recommend requesting and reviewing a written estimate as the original that was sent me. The actual ended up being almost $500 more than my final cost, including Illinois versus Wisconsin sales tax

I did not have a good experience here. The lady who…read moreapproched me made it very clear that she was only talking to me because she had to. She had this uppity, I-hate-that-youre-here attitude. I told her what my budget was and she immediately took me to the warehouse where all the old (?) carpet is and thats sitting on the floor. She showed me the cheap stuff and then immediately took me to the carpet that literally cost THREE times my budget. She seemed to be mocking me and making fun of my budget. She did not take the time to explain the difference between carpets, what the installation process was like (even though I asked her). She was just super cold. When I thanked her for her time and help (LOL) all she said was, "well..." It seemed like she wanted to say, "well, I had to." She did not thank me for coming in or anything. She didn't even offer to set up an appointment to have them come out and take a look at the two bedrooms I need carpet for. She needs to go through a comprehensive training program that teaches her how to interact with customers. Because of how horrible my experience was, I basically said, "f*ck them", went to Halversons and bought the carpet there. They were fantastic and highly recommend them!

Filing a warranty claim with them was a nightmare. It took a year from start to when they gave us a quote to replace it that was so high we couldn't possibly do it. It took a year of calling over and over trying to get them to return our call, pleading, getting angry and finally they're getting rid of us. It was deemed defective by the manufacturer, but we will never get that credit because they don't want to do it for us. The owner is useless and cares nothing about customer service, as far as I can tell.

And, LAST--they damaged my home by scratching and marring existing luxury vinyl and ripping off trim around my front door when they rammed some of their equipment into the door jam on their way out. I documented and took photos, presented them to the owner, asked for damages to be paid and I was told--they're too careful to make mistakes, but if they did, those are just things that happen--it's completely normal to have some mishaps.
