First time here and I had a positive experience. First thing is first. They insisted on a mask and even took your temperature. Some of the seating even had the plexi glass up. I appreciated this with covid right now. They had many servers so we didn't have to wait on much. Food was not to pricey but not cheap either. Was not authentic in my opinion. More like tex-mex. But was yummy I had the barbacoa plate came with beans n rice. I have no complaints. Plates were more than full. The restaurant was clean servers were pleasant. It was a good time. When an error was made with the order . They fixed it and were very kind about it. I will be going back to screens every where as well as music. But nothing was to loud. Hope this helps read more

Keep in mind we get here at 11:00am when they open. The salsa smelled sour and the chips were gross. We decided not to order. --We complained and they finally gave us a fresh salsa, I took a picture of them so you can see the difference. read more

The food looks good, but looks can be deceiving. In this case, it is deceiving. We spent 68 dollars for three people, but it was definitely NOT worth it! I was driving thru town on my way to Dallas, and I just wanted to try the flavors of Odessa. This is how our visit went. First, the waitress was not friendly at all. Never smiled and only attended us once. Second, the natural fruit waters were 5 dollars each. It was too expensive for this small town of Odessa. Third, the food was disgusting. My enchiladas had no flavor and no spice and way too much damn cheese. The chile Verde was too texmex. It had way too much cumin, and whoever made thar sauce added too much flour. Listen, I'm an amateur chef and a foodie. I cook very well, so if I go to your establishment to spend that much money, it better be way better than mine! Honestly, I would rather go to Taco Bell than come here ever again. I do not recommend this place at all! Cheers. read more

Another greedy restaurant trying to steal from the customers pocket every chance they get. First of all if you pay with the credit card or debit card you will be charged a fee. Secondly, you will be charged a service fee just for walking into the restaurant. Lastly the menu prices are wrong. Everything is upcharged $3-$4. Besides all of that the food is very plain and has no real authentic spice to it. The portions have also gotten smaller. read more

I eat at Ajuuas in Midland a lot but live n Ddessa so I thought I'd give this one the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE!! Taco Bell would have been a better choice. This was possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. How are they even still open?? Make the drive to Midland's Ajuua's, it's far superior to Odessa's version. read more

(this is the express location) consistency is key! We visited this location last week and the food was pretty good. We decided to come back today and the food came outtaxo shells were tough like trying to bite through leather. The nachos were extremely cold as if it was sitting waiting on me to arrive .It's not like they were swamped it was just my mom and I and a couple sitting down eating . I don't understand how this happens. We pay our hard earned money to these restaurants. It's like they don't care? One thing I will say is that this establishment is really clean. read more

It was okay, the last and final time I ate there is when I found a thick grey hair in my nacho supreme, lost my appetite afterwards, called store and they offered to make me another one I was tired from work so I said Nvm I'll just stay home afterwards. Ambiance is cool,a lot of things to look at. I've been there before my incident with the hair. I love the chorizo and cheese dip and I ate a torta that time it was delicious. read more

Fantastic service, a couple co workers and I came in right after work at about 9:30 on a Tuesday not knowing they closed at 10:00. We asked if it was too late to be seated and with a smile said they could take us. Our waitress/ server, served us the whole time with a smile on her face and with an amazing attitude, making sure everything was good for us. Which everything was great!! Amazing food, amazing service, and cold beer read more

Service was so bad the bartender talked to her boss in Spanish about me and my boyfriend coming in 50 minutes before they close and how that was a huge problem for her. Weird since all she did was push a few buttons and take the tender. Oh and then went along with talking to other patrons about how she had an issue with servicing us. Will not be back. And yes we both understand Spanish! And the order was to go. The owner/manager was at the front door and welcomed us in btw. read more

This place is ok. I have noticed portion sizes have gotten smaller. Tacos are good here. I like the al pastor and barbacoa. I tried the quesadillas tonight they did not have much meat and were small. Next time I will stick with the tacos. read more

Excellent server, and I wish I remembered her name! Drinks are strong! And food is good! Prices are a bit high, but I feel like that is everywhere now. Gets busy so expect a wait at peak times. read more

We sat at the bar. Food was delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere was good. We will return to this location going forward. Yum!

Service was great. Had the barbacoa tacos and a chile relleno. All pretty good and fresh. Beer was cold. Had a "Chilton" no matter how much i stirred it, it had too much salt in it. Overall good experience and would definitely go back. read more

Okay before I began I do want to acknowledge that the food is very good! However, the bill was an entirely different thing. My god! Who runs this place.. ?? I can see why this place was empty! On the menu what you get with the meal is actually not included in the price. They also charge you tip and sevice charge which is actually double tip and tax you on both!!! If you use a cc they charge you. The sales tax is also incorrect. Who's doing this places taxes?? Shady.. never again. I do not recommend this place. A $30 tip on a $70 bill is not ok. read more

Good Mexican food never disappointed, a great atmosphere and a place to hang out on weekends.

Slow service seated in the bar ignored for 10 min. Bartender finally showed up. Hostess seating at the bar talking to a friend and ignoring everyone. Food average. Overpriced for whT it is ... i dont think i will be back read more

Chips and queso is a must. Wife ordered a "Ginnas combo" and I got the chicken fry smothered with queso and a long green Chile! 2nd visit: tried a cheeseburger torta, not bad at all but prefer the chicken fry! Margaritas were also a bit too strong for our liking. Definitely recommend. Will be back. read more

Amazing salsa. Perfect amount of spice. However, when you order queso and have to wait for chips for the queso for 10 minutes it is a bit frustrating. On a brighter note, the queso con carne was excellent! The service was on the slower side, granted it was Sunday at 1:00PM. The food had a great display, huge plates and portions, but not that good. read more

Insta enchiladas. I was very disappointed. Not even rolled. I got them lazy but expected what was in the picture. The pictures and the menu are not the same. My co worker had the tripas tho and he was happy . I was just disappointed. If I wanted caned food I could've done it myself . read more

Wow, only 3 stars? Really people? Though Odessa will never be known for its food, Ajuua's is pretty stinking good if you ask me. I go for the fresh Chicharrones but I stay for the Steaks. If you're in town, it's well worth the visit. I'd honestly give it about a 4 star but we need to boost the averages.... nom sayin. Peace! read more

Waited for check waitress kept passing by us and not even acknowledging us. My son stomach hurts now enchiladas no good

Bland food, inattentive service, and nothing on the menu under $9! No idea why this place draws a crowd. The place is nice-looking enough, but the salsa was the only thing I ate that was any good. Everything else was swimming in grease, cheese, and bland tomato sauce. Our waitress actually seemed annoyed to be serving us and the people at the table next to us actually had to flag down a bus boy to get her to take their order. I was really disappointed with my margarita, but maybe I ordered the wrong drink, because everyone seemed to be ordering and enjoying these giant margarita looking drinks with a beer bottle in them. Oh well. I'll never know, because I'm never going back there! read more

Complimentary salsa was one of the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant, very spicy and flavorful. Catfish shrimp: recommended by the waitress, was pretty much disgusting. But then again, I'm the idiot that orders seafood in a Mexican venue.... Green enchilada: was never a big fan of enchiladas but this dish was VERY good! If I do ever end up here, that would be what I would order. The service was OK, took a while to get more chips and salsa as it seemed our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time. read more

We were visiting family and my brother suggested this restaurant, so I reviewed the yelp reviews and was a bit hesitant because of the bad reviews. So when we arrived at the parking lot, it was packed and there appeared to be a waiting line, but when I asked how long was the wait, they said 15 minutes, so we decided to wait, but we got called in less than 5 minutes! Then we ordered drinks and my margarita was excellent and the pina colada was to die for. The guys enjoyed their michelada beers, they also said they were great! Then we placed our order of Tripita tacos and red enchiladas plate and ham and cheese torta with fries. Well, the Tripitas were cooked perfectly (extra crispy) and the red enchiladas were also delicious along with the rice that tasted delicious and was fluffy. The torta was awesome! The bread was very soft and had a toasted taste of butter and was very flavorful, it had a lot of ham and cheese, the lettuce and tomatoes and guacamole tasted very fresh! The fries were a over cooked a bit for my taste. But other than that, we truly had a great dining experience! Our waiter Daniel was excellent! He never let us run dry, it was a packed house and he managed to keep us happy! I also loved the music selection and the decor is awesome. It feels like you're eating outdoors in a patio environment! I truly had a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend you try it! read more

Ajuas is a place I've been to a lot, not cuz its the best Mexican restaurant in town. Its because they have a good fajita trio, also the gigante burrito is worth trying. Really its because they have the biggest cheapest beers in town. U should try the schooner they're allways on special & have & decent but small tap selection. Atmosphere is nice(fancy Mexico ambiance) I get The lunch special. A great deal if your on a budget read more

okay now that i've been a couple times, there are maybe two good waitresses be aware of the short chubby mexican girl that's missing a front tooth, thank me later.. i'm hispanic but i look like a straight white boy so that being said i had three waitresses talking in spanish ab the oysters i ordered were two days old which weren't fresh at all when they came out they had a milky water behind them and smelt like hooker snatch. all i'm saying it's not worth coming here but if you do PLEASE be careful. sucks because they have really good drinks and it's a good place to hangout and watch tv at the bar. read more

Where do I began......Odessa location! First on the menu was a dozen raw oysters, I'm very cautious when eating them so before I ordered I ask the waitress if they were fresh, she said yes! Once she brought them, I immediately smelled a loud fishy odor as she was putting them in front me! I then went to pick one up and I felt that they were not cold at all, room temp to be exact and the juice it left behind on the shell was a milky color, not clear as they should be!! I'm from Louisiana and I know fresh oysters and the rules!! I flagged the waitress to come get them because I declined to eat them because of concern of getting sick.....Second, I ordered fried fish with rice, fries and salad. Fish was piping hot and was decent but the the fries were on its way to being cold!! Why?? Rice was the same way, it was like it was sitting up. Last but not least the salad!! The cucumbers were dry, salad started to turn brown and that happens when it sits in a fridge and also the carrot had a white film prob due to the same reason. My whole entire meal wasn't fresh and at least I can be served a fresh meal with hardly any people in the restaurant to start with, so they wasn't busy at all!! FIRST AND LAST TIME I'll go there.....by the way, the Tea was Great. read more

Our car window was busted out in their parking lot and our car broken into while we were eatting our cold food. We notified the waitress only so she would know we would be waiting around and the police would be showing up to file a report. 2 of us moved to the bar and ordered one bottle of beer and a glass of water. Even after our party of 6 just spent a good amount on our sub par, cold dinners, we were charged $5.24 for the one beer and water, which included a service charge. The waitress notified the owners of our car window being smashed out and their only response was they weren't responsible. Horrible experience! read more

Drinks were great, food was delicious, they had live music and it was pretty packed for a Sunday night! The music was too loud for my personal preference but everyone else seemed to enjoy it! Service was good, good was mediocre. I ordered a plate that includes a corn quesadilla, which was really just a tostado with cheese and some guacamole...that is NOT. A quesadilla, taco which had a nice flavor, a beef flauta , which again had a nice flavor, but barely warm. Good ambiance for happy hour though. Lots of TV screens for sports events, etc read more

Never again will I go again. It was a table of 4 . (3 adults and my 7 year old son). Total was $215 . My husband had 2 beers and I had 2 Margaritas. It took them 30 minutes to bring me the tab. I noticed a service charge for $27. The waitress stated that since it was over $100 then they add a service charge !!! This is outrageous!!! They steal your money without letting you know! Service was horrible! Food was okay ! But prices are ridiculous! read more

Please don't eat here. The service was just as horrible as the food. The only reason this place gets packed is for the alcohol.

I didn't know you could charge a service fee at a restaurant!?!?! As well as charge a built in tip! After only being seen by my waiter when he was bringing me my food, and waiting for my check for about 10 minutes after we had already asked for it. I look at it to see I've been charged $5 for a service fee and a 10% tip had already been added to me tab. read more
