They were professional, punctual, and reasonably priced for the scope of work. What really stood out: after they left the gas company nicked one of our lines during unrelated work, and they came right back out and fixed it free of charge, no questions asked. I went with them last year to lay irrigation down in my front yard with a whole new system with foundation plantings to be watered by drip irrigation. With the really hot summer of 2025, I called two times for them to come out because the foundation plants were not adequately watered with drip irrigation. The first time, Reynolds came really quickly. The second time, I was told that I could change the amount of water myself on the app and that the team had already come out once to service me and that they had changed out 3 leaks in the drip system for free! The issue is, drip irrigation put in place did not reach all the plants - even though I was told it would- so I could increase the amount of water as much as I want and all it would do it drown some plants while others stay dry. Fast forward a year later, some very valuable trees have withered and died -3 japanese maples and 1 blue spruce along with some other shrubs. They also neglected to tell me that they reduced the amount of water everything was getting by 1/3 last summer because of the water shortage. They probably thought homeowners can change this themselves if plants look like they need more water. But we were away for July 2025 and came back to dead trees. An email telling us that they were doing this would have gone a long way. After thousands of dollars, I'm now back at square one and needing another system. Oh, they also told me they would change my old system (valves etc) and they didn't. They retrofitted everything to an old 30 year old system - I was told this when I got a new estimate recently. I was also told that the drip irrigation system was improperly installed, not suitable for my foundational plantings and were getting leaks because they didn't put a regulator in for that much water pressure. It would have been good for them to tell me that before installing the system. What a mess! Stay Away!

I recommend Ed and the guys at Green Lawn who are also awesome and friendly.

They're like, "Oh yeah, we can fix the pump, no problem." Had nothing but problems with the pump . "Oh, it's not our fault. You need to talk to an electrician or a plumber." I have had both in and guess what, it was their fault. Then instead of dealing with the problem, the decided to start charging me for the extra visits they needed to keep it running. I asked to talked to the owners and now nobody will answer their phone anymore. I highly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Dobson installed my 20 zone system in 2008 and it has been HORRIFIC ever since. Every year I need…read moreto fix 10-15 breaks and/or faulty wiring in the system. I've needed to replace over 200 feet of piping since the original installation. Some breaks ( less than10% ) are due to tree roots , that's normal. But 90%+ are due to the faulty 1" black poly pipe they installed. The pipe they used was recalled by the manufacturer the same year they installed it. John Dobson knew it, he installed it anyway, and then tried to blame me because I wouldn't buy a $750 annual service contract from him. Their faulty pipe consistently fails under normal use. This company's MO is to sell faulty equipment, then require an expensive annual service contract to fix their faulty installation & equipment. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There are plenty of reputable competitors. Picture shows one of Dobson's repairs within weeks of installation - their own repair pipe failed, they used only 1 clamp per side (shoddy workmanship) and it just failed again.

Over the last 3 years, their techs have always found repair issues which prior to that had not been an annual issue. This last situation, they flagged 2 items for repair and left. Weeks later, no call and no followup. Upon calling the company I was told a controller had to be replaced. I challenged the diagnosis and asked for someone to call me. No response. I had another company come by and they fixed a cut line in 5 mins and turned the system on. I'm not sure what happened to this company, but I was told by someone in the lawn care company that Dobson's was sold and my experience is not unique. Consider me to no longer be a customer of Dobson.

From the initial consultation and design to the actual install, Pete knew exactly what coverage I needed, where to put it, and how to best complete the job. We dealt with a situation completely out of Pete's control in which multiple teams were unable to identify my fiber optic cable line buried under my lawn. Pete went out of his way to make sure I did not lose internet for a second, investing hours into coordinating with the right people and ultimately leading to zero underground lines being hit and no lost internet. All the while, Pete made himself available for any and all questions. There are many quality sprinkler installers out there, but Pete and his team have separated themselves above the rest.
