AJ's is honestly my favorite Pizza place in Tiffin, but Reino's is a close second (but two entirely different styles, so not a fair comparison). If we're ordering Pizza on a Friday night, it's almost always going to be AJ's. Either the Jr. Jumbo, or if we're really hungry or have company, a Jumbo. I'm particularly partial to the Pepperoni rolls (highly recommend trying). Unfortunately, (just recently), I've noticed a decline in the consistency of the food. Sometimes it's great, which is what I've come to expect, and sometimes is just ok. I've also never been exactly "wowed" by the staff/service. This is just an observation, but a lot of the staff seems to be comprised of high-school or college age kids. I can say I don't recall EVER being greeted with a smile when picking up my order. It's almost always a young lady (different ones) who seem irritated that they're even there. Which is whatever... I just want my pizza. Just an observation though. I haven't been to the new location yet, so I can speak to the new dining area, etc. we switched over to doing delivery since we moved closer to town. Probably one of the best pizzerias in Ohio, very furry accepting, my grandsons girlfriend had no trouble using the litter box. In a town filled and I do mean filled with Pizza options, AJ's Heavenly Pizza is hands down the best pizza in town. I judge a good pizza on its crust and sauce. The toppings are important but at the end of the day it all comes down to two things, crust & sauce. Their pizza crust has the right amount of crunch and warm, chewy consistency. It is not too thick or too thin. Their sauce is perfection. It has a delicious robust tomato flavor with a hint of sweetness and they are generous with it but not to the point where sauce dominates the crust or leaves it limp and soggy. They have a large variety of toppings as well as various other Italian-American dishes if you don't pizza. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming. Very good pizza and the ONLY pizza place that serves all the small surrounding towns without charging a lot to deliver.

Since Tiffin is flooded with pizza shops, I tend to be picky about my slices. A.J.'s heavenly serves up a unique dough that is moist and tasty. The sauce is slightly sweet, and has a great finish. They use premium cheeses on their pies, and you can tell the difference. This is one of the few places where I eat the crust, because it is so delicious. I highly recommend this place for its price, taste, and service. They have always been prompt and friendly, but make sure you're prepared for a long line at lunch and dinner times. This place is extremely popular in the Tiffin area! Update 12/15/16: After frequenting AJs for years, recently I've noticed a decline in their customer service. The girls at the front desk are inept at their duties, and are extremely unfriendly. I've noticed it with, not only myself, but with other customers waiting to pick up. When calling them they are rushed, short, and mostly undamaged by having to take your order. FIX THIS SOON, AJs!!! read more

I was passing through town and found this place on yelp. The young woman working the front desk was very sweet and helped me to custom order a fold over with steak, jalapeño, and extra cheese inside. (Similar to a calzone) I got the smaller size. It was delicious and was more than I needed. :) read more

We have been loyal customers for over 10 years. They have the best pizza. The jumbo will feed a large family with no problem except maybe getting through the door. (It's huge) the subs are delicious, salads are perfect and if try nothing else try a pepperoni roll they are a great lunch or snack. read more

I grew up in Tiffin so naturally I do gravitate to AJs. When ever in town like clockwork I get AJs at least once (at risk of sounding redundant). If you are in town I would recommend. The dish is some where in-between deep and NY style. To me it's a version of soul food. The sauce is ultimately the best part of a great pizza chain. read more

Usually, pizza is pizza and you can't do much to ruin it but AJ's has managed it. The sauce is sickening sweet, ingredients blah. Got a sub and the meat was very dried up, hard, with a slap of mayo/butter mix. I took one bite and threw it away. It seems the only people who like this place are kids and college students who probably love the sugar pizza sauce. My guess is that they don't have a designated cook and anyone on shift that day prepares the food. Let's just say, even if I was starving I wouldn't order from this place. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Always enjoyed their pizza but they don't know how to make a customer feel appreciated. I ordered a pizza for carry out and was told it was a fifteen minute wait. No big deal. Once I arrived however, the pizza wasn't done and they hadn't even started it. Also, understandable, accidents happen, things get crazy sometimes. I paid for the pizza with the understanding that they would deliver it to my house, as told by the cashier. I'm good with that. Problem is they never showed up. Maybe they got the address wrong? Maybe they didn't even deliver? I called the next day and was apologized to by the manager and was awarded two pizzas on credit. Awesome! Only a week later I called to redeem one and after fifteen minutes on the phone they told me that they never awarded a credit and that they had no record of my pizza being ordered and ultimately no record of the entire ordeal. They did not make any attempt to amend this confusion and I made it very politely clear to them that they had lost a customer. Other reviews have praised their food in a town with so many pizza options and I hope they remember that there is many other pizza options and I will be looking to those from now on. read more

AJ's will always have a special place in my heart - I actively judge other pizza places against it. It's relatively local, and a favorite for larger parties with their jumbo and jr jumbo coupon specials. Like other reviewers have noted, the sauce is sweet, so if that's not your thing then it may not be for you. Other than outer crust pieces, it also tends to be a thinner crust more naturally (which I also love). In the grand scheme of things, it's probably not 'to die for' and the 'heavenly' aspect of the chain is a little heavy-handed, but still my hometown favorite and a must order whenever I visit family! read more
