    Review Highlights - AJ's Aluminum

We were so very pleased with their workmanship and pricing, we had them come back and put new screens on our lanai.

FYI - Do not do business with The Screen King of Tampa, Michael Knoll. Screenshots of the text…read moremessage string are below, but also this is what happened. I will say the workmanship was great, the business practices are awful. Scheduled for 11/20 to start the work -11/20 - Bobby came out (1 guy with a ladder) and worked for about 1hr and cut a few screens. -11/21 - new crew shows up. Find out they are subs since Michael did not have anyone that could do a 2 story screen -Was told they will finish up on 11/22. Wil be there at 9am and be done by 11am -11/23 - showed up at 10am and worked until 5pm. -2pm on 11/23 - get text from Michael Knoll that they are done and that I should look at the job - well they were nowhere near done. -3:48pm 11/23 - text from Michael saying he will pick up the check on Saturday - well they still were not done -I replied at 3:53 on 11/23 even though they were not done letting him know that I would be out of town until Monday -Michael has a snark reply about payment upon completion and that he has to add tax - what? When I get estimates for jobs, that is all in. -11/27 - Michael comes for payment and to pick up the debris left by the workers. He tells me to write a new check because of tax. I don't question it because I just want this all to be over. I wish I would of, as I have never heard someone adding tax after the fact on the job -A few items I don't tell him, top porch is covered with screen and spline - I cleaned it up -PVC to Well Pump for Sprinkler is cracked from crew throwing ladder down - I fixed this -Finally the straw that broke the camels back was that when my kids went to turn on the outside spotlights, the breaker tripped and sparks flew out of the center light on the screen. The workers took all of these lights apart and asked us to cut the power. Obviously they wired it wrong when putting it back together - The Screen King disagrees. So overall, The Screen King takes too big of a job, hires subs, shit isn't cleaned up and things are broken and he does not take any blame for that. He adds tax after the fact, and oh yeah there was various OSHA violations on the job. I gave The Screen King 3 days after I informed him, and then 24hrs after our last conversation via text. So I gave him ample time to make this right.
