Was charged $600 for a tattoo that should've cost $300 max. Told me to come back in a month for touch up. Came back and expressed my extreme discontent and desire for a refund, which I figured was justified as the work done was so sub par I would never trust these people with my body again. Artist and management/ ownership were negligent and unwilling to cooperate. This entire situation has been so unprofessionally dealt with it's hard to believe anything like a matured adult has anything to do with it. This artist and studio should both have their licenses revoked. The artist even texted me randomly out of the blue in some awkward venting session over how they'd been locked out by the landlord, probably for not paying rent. Avoid this studio and artist like the plague.

The shop is located upstairs, on Port Moody's high street. The shop is very clean and the staff very professional. After signing a waver form we got to choose which flat back studs we wanted. You get a basic stud with the appointment, for a few bucks more you can get some other. One of the rules is that you're allowed to have 1 person in the room with you (for support if you need it), due to the size of the room. Everything was new and sterile. Libby was great in letting us know what to expect and what we would be feeling. My niece who was pretty nervous didn't even feel the first piercing. After both ears were done, she came out saying she barely felt it. I'm so proud of her! My helix looks great! So happy we had gone here. After all was done and paid, Libby had given us information for the proper and healing of our piercings. What to expect and what not to do, super informative. Well now that I know more about you need a minimum of two treatments. My friends $400 included the follow up, Timeless charged $250 for the follow up....So yes, the Groupon was a "bait and switch". This is the only thing keeping him from a 5 star rating. Now the good, and why he is worth paying the same or more than where my friends went. First off microblading is sub dermal. Meaning they actually cut into your skin, tattoo artists are trained in this and understand the proper procedures to keep people safe and sanitary. Lee was the artists name. I was impressed enough on my "cheap" first visit to pay full price for the second. He was very concerned on making my brows look natural. He spent 10 minutes watching me do facial expressions to make sure the brows he drew were natural. I must say the process is fit for erotica novels. He not only brightened it up but also did a little once over on other areas to better blend the new work with the old, so now I have a lovely collection of autumn leaves and a greater definition of my birds against the grey wash in the background. Jarret has a really lovely demeanour, is calm and friendly to chat with (I didn't even need my phone!) and is a quick, knowledgeable, and skilled tattooist. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Full disclosure: I never went here to get a tattoo for myself, just to (unwillingly) keep my…read morecousin company as he got his (I'm from Calgary and not from the area, and he was my ride for the day so I didn't really have a choice). As such, I spent most of my time in the waiting room in the front lobby killing time. What I can tell you: The place is clean and orderly. The front staff were very friendly, and after observing them for an hour or so (as there wasn't much to do while waiting), they were very professional and helpful, to clients at the venue and over the phone. The waiting room consists of some padded chairs and a coffee table with binders with the various tattoos you can get. There's a water cooler and a washroom as well. I couldn't tell if they had free wifi, but there was one of those 'linksys' unsecured access points with full bars that worked from the lobby, which was handy for me since I was able to write a few Yelp reviews on my laptop while I was sitting around waiting (but with all unsecured wifi spots, especially those that you don't know who owns them, I would never to any kind of financial transactions or anything that requires inputting a password of any sort). I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo for myself (simply doesn't interest me), but if I were in BC and had to get one, I'd probably go here. 13/30
