I've always wanted a tattoo so you can believe my surprise when my friend offered to pay for me to…read morehave my tattoo done as a bday present I had a design I wanted since I was 12 years old but let me say this I'm a horrible artist don't know how to compose a tattoo so I'm the last person who should be doing it lol Anyways I called pheonix tattoo and asked if I could go in for a consultation which I'm super glad I did I showed him my design that's when pheonix broke it down for me and help me understand the basic designs of tattooing and how to design for a tattoo he explained that while they could do my design it would look cluttered and probably wouldn't be what I was hoping it would be in my head he showed me different ways we could do it however having had the design in my head for quite a while now I couldn't wrap my head around a different way to design it though I understood where he was coming from I decided to toss my design onto the back burner which I'm glad I did as a few of my friends who I spoke to afterwards even agreed with him Anyways luckily I had a few other ideas up my sleeves and I showed pheonix another design I found online and he said that would look way better on me and he helped me figure out placements and everything and than called his new artist to the front to meet me I showed Storm the tattoo idea discussed what I wanted to change and she loved it and said she would be honored to do it for me I could tell.she had extreme passion and booked my apt with her On April 14th after both of us having recovered from being sick I went in and got my first tattoo done now I should mention I'm terrified of needles so I was scared and anxious but Storm put me right at ease from the moment she came out to get me to the moment we where done the tattoo I could have fallen asleep as she didn't hurt me one bit but I was to busy laughing and joking around with her when all was said and done I couldn't have asked for a better tattoo I showed my friends who are harsh and critical of tattoos and consider themselves tattoo perfectionists able to spot the smallest of small mistakes and only one mentioned something about the writing but he said it was such a small mistake that he had to look close to see it and even than he said it still looked pretty sick and rad and that he absolutely loved the coloring and shading so that says a lot right there If anyone is in the market for a tattoo than I highly recommend Storm at pheonix tattoos she's passionate and talented

The shop is located upstairs, on Port Moody's high street. The shop is very clean and the staff very professional. After signing a waver form we got to choose which flat back studs we wanted. You get a basic stud with the appointment, for a few bucks more you can get some other. One of the rules is that you're allowed to have 1 person in the room with you (for support if you need it), due to the size of the room. Everything was new and sterile. Libby was great in letting us know what to expect and what we would be feeling. My niece who was pretty nervous didn't even feel the first piercing. After both ears were done, she came out saying she barely felt it. I'm so proud of her! My helix looks great! So happy we had gone here. After all was done and paid, Libby had given us information for the proper and healing of our piercings. What to expect and what not to do, super informative. After a number of months of searching, we were pointed to Golden Rose Tattoo in Maple Ridge and told to ask for Tyler.
